What are the Princess things to do? What makes the day(s) fun, etc... Anything to skip? How about Ariel's Grotto? Two young girls 3 & 5.

Thanks in advance for the tips.

This will be our first trip so not much help to you unfortunatley, but we plan to do the Bibbody Bobbidy Boutique with DD 4, and then Ariels Grotto for lunch. We will vist all of the Princess's of course.
Have a great trip and I look forward to reading other people's comments :)

The princess things to do are BBB (mentioned by previous poster), princess meet and greets, and Ariel's Grotto. There are separate meet and greets for Rapunzel and Merida and then there is a set up by IASW where you can meet 3 princess (they rotate).
We love going to Ariel's Grotto (lunch or dinner, not breakfast). It is a good way for DD to meet some princesses and have a nice meal. It helps that we enjoy the food there.

My 3-year old niece's favorite princess ride is Ariel's in DCA. She wants to ride that one over and over when she visits the parks.

Yep, I have a princess lover too! Things to do include (will be repeating some of the above):
1. BBB -- I think 3 is the youngest age so that could work.
2. Character meals -- Ariel's is a no brainer but sometimes it looks like one or more of the princes or princesses appear at Goofy's but that is more of a crap shoot.
3. Meet and greets -- Princess Fantasy Faire or whatever it is called in Fantasy Land where you meet 3 princesses (they rotate out so no guaranty who you will meet even if you can see which ones they are); Rapunzel M&G; Merida M&G and while not princess, along those lines is a special M&G with Tinker Bell and her friends (Usually 1 or 2 others, not guaranty who they will be)
4. Rides -- Little Mermaid in DCA; Snow White's Scary Adventure (note might be too scary for your 3YO so worth a youtube to verify); Carousel; walk through Sleeping Beauty's castle; Storybook Canal which has miniatures of the castles and locales for many of the princess movies.
5. The etc. -- parades usually feature one or more princesses. Fantasmic and World of Color both feature princesses as well. Snow White's wishing well on the side of the castle. Characters often pop up there so worth a visit. If your girls are into Princess Leia at all, there is a chance to go hero Star Wars at the Jedi Training Academy. I think the minimum age is 4 but I would swear they've picked 3YOs judging by some youtubes. Merchandising you can find lots of places and particularly in Fantasy Land.

We have found princess on the walkway either side of the castle and walked right up to them. This happened 3-4 times on our trip last March

We only saw Cinderella when we were there at Christmas and she had no photo pass person with her I don't know if I just was not looking in the right places or what....we did do the M&G with Tinkerbell and Periwinkle but the Rapunzel line was ridiculous so we skipped it....my DD did BBB and it took a while but it was really great...we didn't do the one with the dress and all that we just brought our own dress we did the one with the hair nails and make up and she really liked it.

I'm a huge princess lover and this last may my husbands family and I went to breakfast at Ariel's Grotto for the character breakfast. Now keep in mind I was the youngest out of the five of us and I was 20 at the time! I would do it again for sure! Each princess including: Ariel, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, Belle, and Cinderella each come to your table and take pictures with you and sign auto graph books. They even spend time at the table talking to each guest! It was a blast! I would totally recommend it for your DD's! :yay: I'm sure they would love it!

If you have any other questions don't hesitate to ask!

xoxo
