Well, I've pretty much made up my mind to change our vacation from January 2008 to late October 2007 to accomadate my DD's 3rd grade testing schedule. I've always gone in January/February and wondered what the parks are like at the end of October (thinking October 20th - 27th).

I'm figuring on doing MNSSHP and maybe Food & Wine Festival but we're used to no crowds and cool weather. What should we expect in October? I'm actually excited about being able to swim ro go to a water park - things you don't usually get to do in January:goodvibes

Thanks

We went Halloween week in 2005 and it was nice. We came in the day after Wilma so we actually wore jeans the first 2 days there. Each night I changed to jeans and a long sleeved T shirt but never wore a jacket.

The crowds were fine (not as empty as January, but still nice). Epcot WS was always crowded and the wait for the Maelstrom always reported 30 minutes :confused3 . I enjoyed that time of year and am sure we will repeat it again in the coming years (but not until we have done Christmastime again- NOTHING beats WDW at Christmastime :santa: )

I used to go in October because of the low crowds and great weather. However, with the popularity of the Food & Wine Festival, that time of year is getting VERY busy. I continue to go at that time of the year with expectations of moderate crowds. You will have a great time!:)

I Think You'll Have A Fabulous Time. We've Been To The Mnsshp And It Was A Blast. The Weather Is Absolutely Gorgeous And Maybe We Just Lucked Out, But In 2005 When We Did It The Crowds Were Great.
I Think It Will Be A Nice Change If You Are Used To Going In Jan/feb.

We went in October....crowds...there were no crowds...I definitely recommend the Not So Scary Halloween Party... the trick or treating is fun and Goofy candy company candy...during the week probably better that the weekend for crowds...Dress up no matter it takes great pictures.
