That Free Dining will be released in the next few days? It looks like from a previous post, that it was released around March 16th last year.

What kind of chance do you think I have of getting Free Dining for the dates of August 28th - Sept. 1st??? My dd6 will have already started school and if I can "use" Labor Day to our advantage at getting a longer stay, I would like to.

Any input???

It wasn't released for booking until April last year. IF free dining is released, I don't know when it would start. The window seems to be getting smaller every year.

I hope that free dining does come our way!

Can you get free dining for only one day? I will be at AKL for one day (room only) but then moving to the Dolphin where there is no free dining... does anyone know?

In the past there has been a minimum stay. I don't know how long that stay was, though. You also have to have a package with park tickets (not a room only reservation) to get the free dining. If you have an AP and don't need the tickets, you'd still have to buy at least 1 ticket per person plus the min. stay to get the free dining package.

Doesn't it seem like there were much stronger rumors by this point last year that free DDP was definitely going to happen again? We really should be hearing/seeing something any day now.

I think it will be a while yet. Two factors make me think this. It was not released until April of last year, and the current discount offer is open for booking until March 21st. *sigh* I am on pins and needles waiting too!

The lack of rumors could be a sign that free dining might not be offered to the general public this year. I certainly hope there is free dining because we have a Sept. trip planned, but it's not a given.

IF free dining is offered, I hope that they will announce it soon as the wait to know about it is driving me bonkers.

I've been wondering also. We went two years ago and got the free dining and are thinking of going the end of August this year also. We have not booked trip yet. Can you book the trip and then add free dining???

I just went back to some of the threads from last year and right around 3/17 there were already some really strong rumors on several Disney-themed websites which gave specific to-from dates. What I was trying to find (and couldn't) was the date of a thread from someone that had actually seen the flyer that was being sent to travel agencies advertising Free DDP...and it pretty much confirmed the "rumor" dates. I really feel like something will probably surface next week.

In my case, I can only take advantage of free DDP if they allow dates that were similar to the UK offer (started for them on 8/10). We were staying @ WDW during the free DDP bounceback booking window last fall but couldn't do it as my kids start school on 9/02 and a check-in date of 8/30 just wouldn't allow enough time to even enjoy it.

So while I'm anxious to see something definite...I'm also dreading it as I think it will just confirm that we won't be making a trip to WDW this summer.
