If late May includes Memorial Day, that will really hurt your chances. What type of view do you want?

We got studios this year for the end of June, just before 7/4. Were unable to get standard view, but preferred view was available for 3 studios. Booking at 7 months.

Standard will be VERY hard to get. You'll have a better chance of a Preferred View as Standard is 20% of the rooms and Preferred is 60%

Standard views are snatched up first by the owners and those in the know. Many DVC owners want to get an extra night over a view that they hardly get any use out of.

Obviously the economy has made renting point this year very affordable and you should be able to get 11 months at $10 a point..

A standard studio at $10x109 points for the week would be $1090.

If you wait for the 7 month window, you will probably pay $9 a point x 123 = $1107

$17 more is no biggie...

Odds are quite good for Pool/Garden. Standard view and Boardwalk view are possible, but much less likely.

No guarantees, but the odds for that time of the year are better than most others.

You'll still need to call as soon as MS opens for the day your 7 month window opens and the odds are better if your stay begins on a Friday or Saturday night.

You need to call exactly at 7 months. I was lucky to get a BWV std studio for the last week in August. Last week I tried to change to a 1 bdrm and wasn't able to BUT this afternoon I changed to an 1 bdrm BWV std view!!! So someone's waitlist is going to happen...BWV std studio.
