What are the odds for waitlist in Nov?

Got a 2 bedroom at OKW Nov 22-24 but I am waitlisted on the 25th. This is Thanksgiving week. However the plan was to check out on Wednesday, not Tuesday. We are waitlisted for all disney properties. There are eight of us and and the waitlist includes a 2 bedroom, or 2 studios , or any 2 rooms on property. I know it is very busy this time of year but, what are the odds of something coming through?? I need encouragement people!!!

Does your waitlist show up on the your vacation page on the dvc members site? Mine doesn't and I'm a little worried that they didn't do it. Last time it was there. Thats how I knew it went through.

Just to clarify (for any of the newbies), waitlists do not show up on the Members' Website for anyone.

When posters talk about checking the website, they just mean they check to see if their desired reservation is listed there. If the waitlist comes through, MS automatically makes the reservation. As soon as they do, the reservation shows on the website.

So if you see the "waitlisted" reservation appear on the website, you know you got it. The reservations listed on the website are real time or near real time, so a reservation will appear on the website before you get the confirming letter in the snail mail.

chorlick - If you haven't already and are worried that your waitlist wasn't done properly, call MS and ask the CM how your waitlist is set up. If it's not the way you intended, you can have it corrected now.

I have been on the waitlist for Nov. 27 for months now and still nothing. I quite honestly am losing hope.

Not sure if my 2006 experience is still relevant...but we had to wait/list our T-giving trip (booked in late June 2006)...started by W/L'ing for either a one-bedroom or a studio, anywhere on property...

By the time the dust settled, we had our first choice: all 8 nights (including T-giving) in an SSR studio...took til around late AUgust...the one-bedroom came through first, then the studio .... surprisingly, Thurs (T-giving) came through before Wed (the day before) did...all in all, I think that reservation changed 4-5 times between 6/20 (or so) when I started, and late August, when it finalized...

I had done a back-up cash reservation for the Wed-Thurs nights that were missing...at All Star Music...that turned out to be accidentally great, as in August my bro and nephew decided to do a T-giving trip, too, and I just turned the ASMu reservation over to them...

Maybe we're just lucky, but in 25 months of DVC ownership, the only W/L we've done that has not come through is a switch from a BWV preferred view one-bedroom to a BWV standard view one-bedroom, during marathon weekend...and we use the W/L frequently...

Got the date I was waitlisted for!!! My first choice too! So I am sending pixie dust to all you others waiting! Good Luck!!
