We have never been so what are the things that we must do and see at US and IOA? There will be two adults and two teens. We will be staying on property and will only have one day to see both parks in July.
I know there are some little kid rides and my teens will not want to spend time there. We all love thrill rides and we want to make sure we see everything but do not want to waste time with the kiddie things.

Hellow, you came to the right place. If I cant answer others are more then happy to fill in the blanks I miss!!:thumbsup2

July is very busy staying on-site is a wise choice for the FOTL pass!!

Thrill seekers you say-start at IOA.Get there at 8:30AM,they may open early and you can hit the Hulk and make your way to DD..
Then from there the crowds will start,so do JPR then if you want to get wet Dudley and Popeyes are a must..Go back on Dr.Doom and the Hulk to dry off a bit.
Dont spend to much time at Suess Landing and forget the shows(they are great but time consumming)

After that head over to the studios and ride RR3(should be open by then)Then the Mummy,MIB(Jaws is before MIB-so ride it if want too)Then Simpsons. The thing about Simpsons the pre show is longer then the ride!!

This is commando style. You might think of taking in Shrek(a long pre-show again)..

The parks dont close till 9PM in July so if you do all this by 5PM,you can do the smaller things like Horror Make Up Show-I highly reccomend way funny. And re-ride your favs!!

Just remember one night stay gives you 2days of FOTL!!If you cant do 2days,be prepared to walk alot..Wear your best tennis shoes..

Hope this helps..All of this is IMHO only..Subject too change..:thumbsup2

We have been to both parks several times and have always made it through both parks in one day. You will need to utilize the Universal Access (on site front of the line pass). Start at IOA, and hit Hulk, go right on to Spiderman, Popeye water ride and Dudley Ripsaw Falls. After that head over to Jurassic Park ride, then onto Dueling Dragons. I have a younger daughter so we always spend time at Seuss Landing but with older kids you may want to skip. We then head over to the Studios. You definitely want to do the Mummy and the Simpsons, so I would head to the back of the park first and get those rides done. Men in Black is fun. Shrek 4D is also fun. We enjoy these parks alot, they are very clean, good food and good service, have a great time.:)

Like the others said to do IOA first. You must hit Hulk and Spider-man first.
When you get to US go to The Simpsons first. When we were there last in Jan. The Simpsons had a 90 min wait....in July it may be longer.

i really don't know how you can do it all in one day for both parks in july.

check out the interactive map on the website to see the rides and shows.
pick and choose which ones will be best for your family.

shows are good but they kill a lot of time.
horror make up show is great but that would take a good 45 minutes out of your day. i'm counting the wait time prior to the show in that number.

even with staying on site, you will have some waits in the express line.
not long, could be 15 minutes or so.

as long as you avoid saturday doing both parks, you could do some of the highlights.

be at the park at 8:30 and you will miss many lines until the crowds start to form around 11ish.

I agree with Mac and you also have to factor in the heat and humidity cause with trying to do all that would be tiring and would not suggest it but thats me and coming from someone that still hasn't seen the shows except for T2 :scared1:

All of this info is very helpful. We are big Disney Fans so we are going to give Universal a shot this time. Who knows, we might just like US and IOA????
Thanks!

if you check out what the website has to offer and read up on some of the trippies to uo, you might have more knowledge of the layout of the parks and what they have to offer.

i do both parks each year.
i start at the motherland and then transfer with car service to the darkside resorts.

been doing it this way since 1992.

i hope your visit to UO is a great one for you.

You should have a great time as long as you don't go there and try to compare everything to Disney. If you do that, you won't enjoy yourselves.
