My Daughter will be celebrating graduating from college at Disney this summer.
She is interested in Cool drinks at Disney.

Any ideas?

She has heard of a Grand Maranara slushy at Epcot and A drink in a pinapple at the Polynesian Resort.

Any other must have drinks?

Thanks Tigger

Yes! The DIS helped me find out the "must-have" drinks in WDW. I tried the Sunken Treasure, Magical Star, and the Island Sunset @ the Poly (the Lapu Lapu in the Pineapple is too strong for me). They were all really good. The Island Sunset was recommended to me on here and did not disappoint! The Pina Colava and Poolside Lemonade at the pool bars were also great.

We also attempted to "drink around the world" in the World Showcase at Epcot. Our favorites were the Sultan's Colada from Morocco (which was suggested on the DIS) and the English Rose at Rose & Crown suggested by the cutest bartender EVER, Eddie! I also tried the mango margarita in Mexico which was good.

Have fun!!

ETA: I am starting a dining review on Monday so I'll include photos of the drinks!

Tambu Louge at the Poly - Island Sunset

Joy of Tea in China - Peach Snap (frozen peach schnapps tea slushie)

Drink stand in France - Nuvo (sparkling vodka cocktail) and the Grand Marnier slushie

Any bar or restaurant - Magical Star Cocktail (made with XFusion, coconut rum and some other stuff!

The Lapu Lapu at the Poly is great and it's fun to drink from a carved-out pineapple. They are expensive--I'm thinking about $12 or $13 a piece. Does she like beer? Le Cellier serves some Canadian "Unibroues" that are really good (and higher alcohol content that regular beers). Congrats to your DD for graduating.:thumbsup2

I haven't gotten to try them yet but they've made my list for our upcoming June trip:

- Dole Whip Float in Adventureland

- Peanut butter and jelly milkshake from bar by 50s primetime cafe (don't need an ADR if getting drink from the bar)

The frozen chai in Animal Kingdom at the royal tea co also sounds good.

Joy of Tea in China - Peach Snap (frozen peach schnapps tea slushie)

The Joy of Tea stand added a couple of new slushies (yes, the peachtree oolong and plum wine green tea slushies are still there). I tried the mango gingerita slush and it's my new favorite. It's not as sweet as the peachtree slushie, has a nice real ginger bite, and a nice octane level thanks to the inclusion of vodka and rum. One taste and my friend had to order her own, too.

The Celebration Sparking Wine ( only seen at the Disney Property Hotels ) is my new favorite! At $9 a glass it's a bit high, but worth every sip. It was created for the Year of A Million Dreams but they were still carrying it in Feb. of this year. It is a sparking red, with cherry and chocolate flavors....mmmmmm

The aforementioned Lapu Lapu...will knock you on your butt.

I also quite enjoy the Red Rocket Ale at the Big River Grill.

For me, the slushies in France [either one, thank you!] and the "glow-tini" held over from its "year of a million dreams" promo....

Oh, and the Rose Regalia [I hope that's spelled right] from the wine shop in Italy....

Thanks for all the suggestains

Is the Nuvo (sparkling vodka cocktail), the one that is sold in a bottle that looks like a Perfume bottle? I saw that last year and wondered how it tasted.

I never heard of the Teas mentioned, I am going to try those on my next trip.

I will tell my Daughter to try the Lapu Lapu after dinner. Looks like the Poly has several drinks for her to try.

Is there any restaurants that give cool free glasses to take home with drinks? We got one once a long time ago at Rainforest and also a small glass in one of the countrys at Epcot. I think the one from epcot was for a sample size glass of a wine in Germany. I do not recall seeing these since then (10 years ago)

Hey! I didn't know if you were solely looking for alcoholic drinks, but here are some of my fav. non-alcoholic ones (we always go in the summer and I end up drinking more than I eat because of the heat!)

*descriptions and prices taken from allearsnet

China Tea Stand in EPCOT:
Chinese "Bao Bing" Slush
Strawberry Oolong Tea Bao Bing (non-alcoholic) $4.50
Mango Green Tea Bao Bing (non-alcoholic) $4.50

Animal Kingdom Anandapur Tea Cart:
Chai Freeze $4.50/$5.25/$6.00
Frost Mocha $4.50/$5.25/$6.00

Aloha Isle - MK:
Dole Whip Soft Serve (pineapple, vanilla, chocolate, or swirl) - $2.89 (pineapple soft serve and you can get it as a float in pineapple juice)

Main Street Bake Shop - MK:
Frozen Latte $4.09
(they actually have these in a couple different places and they are PERFECT in the summer because they are cold and they give you energy to brave the heat for a little while longer :) )

The new T-Rex Cafe has a frozen mojito in a souvenier glass that you get to take home. It was the best drink I had out entire trip, especially if it's warm outside...it was very refreshing!

Do you know if TRex have a bar area where you can get those frozen Mojitos to go?

Well, there is a huge bar inside the restaurant but I'm really not sure if you can order them to go. I don't see why not, but you might want to call their direct line to ask. Some bigger restaurants like that will not let you order alcoholic beverages to go, but since they already sell others right in DTD you might be able to get it.

It was a VERY good drink and would be worth ordering one to go if you can!
