What are the "must eat at restaurants" for you at DL?

Rancho del Zocalo is no longer a must do. It used to be for me. But Cocina is quite bad-I feel like it's "slop" when I have eaten there. (Multiple times). I'd skip if if I were you. There are so many better restaurants in the parks.

thanks I will skip both. I crossed out Cocina after one time trying it. We mistakenly went there again ( we forgot which of the Mexican restaurants we had tried and didn't like) I felt that maybe we were judging the food harsher since we are Mexican, but now i know others feel the same way.

If eating a Mexican meal is a must for you while at DL, we think Tortilla Jo's in DTD is the best of the options. It still pretty "commercialized" but I'd choose it over Rancho del Zocalo

We've booked to go next June for the first time since 1981, so reading this thread eagerly looking for good recommendations.

We design our trips around our favorite dinning spots, and Mrs. Dizneerailfan62 has her "must do" list in each area at DLR. We always start by dining at Steakhouse 55 the day of our arrival, then Carthay Circle in DCA for dinner the first day in the parks. We don't park hop, and always spend at least 3 full days - with day 1 in DCA and days 2-3 in DL. Day 2 in DL we try to see Fantasmic!, so we will attempt to get RBT Premium seats (I can't sit on the ground anymore, and refuse to move into a scooter/wheelchair yet). Day 3 we will have lunch at Café Orleans for the onion soup, salad, and pomme frites. It's like a well established routine. We skip out on WOC...for some reason we both haven't been impressed, although we went every trip for the first few years. We have never been disappointed with these restaurant choices, and although pricey, we budget for it and splurge...after all, we are on vacation!

Tortilla Jo's was definitely better. It is not a must for me as i am more o a corn dog/churro kind of girl but when ever dad does come with us he likes at least one Mexican meal. He pretty much just likes to find something to complain about. Doesn't matter where we go how much fun he has his trips always end with "I loved it, but..."

Nothing is most do for us. However, our usual spots include:
Paradise pier (dca) or harborsude (dL) for the clam chowder bread bowls
Cozy cone snacks
Storytellers
Ranch o zocalo
Carthay circle
