What are the dates for the 50th celebration at wdw

Hi: I keep hearing and reading about the 50th celebration, but when I go on the disneyworld.com site I can't find the exact starting date for this.

Can anyone tell me the dates.

I guess crowd levels will be large the beginning of May because of this celebration, usually it is a nice pace. I was looking to book the first week of may if a code came out, but we need lower crowds, due to one of the people in our party.
