"What are the dates again?" A June PTR w/ pics!!

:cool1: Just one week!!!

Love the panoramic pics. :goodvibes
The stitch feature is great!:thumbsup2

We got to eat lunch in the MK as kids. That was about it. A lot of places we brought food. We always left before dinner. We would get icecream, but not at a park. Now that my Dad is a grandparent though he is willing to buy my kids icecream at the park. He still does not like to have dinner in the parks though. :(

I would like to try Prime Time too, but Jacob said no. If I ever go to Disney with my in laws I would take them here. They would have so much fun with this.

Thanks for the compliment on the pics! :goodvibes I still need to play with it a little more.

I doubt my dad will change even when he becomes a grandparent! He still tells me I'm ridiculous for buying food at baseball games or parks, etc.!

Why doesn't Jacob want to do Prime Time? I think everyone will have fun, but I don't know if I'll talk them into it. I hope you get to go someday!

Ok, so I dug up an old photo album at my mom's house and found some pictures from the last time we were there. This was probably in 98. I know there's two more trip's worth of pictures from even earlier floating around somewhere, but this was all I could find.

I was going through a stage where I hated my picture being taken so there's not too many of me. But DSis has almost always loved the camera!

Last year was DSis's first time on an airplane. We had always driven in our big vans before.

Typhoon Lagoon - still looks the same, it seems
Scan10003.jpg

DSis was so scared of the Shark Reef. She refused to ever go back. She is still scared of sharks! You can see her hanging on to me for dear life. She actually tried to stop in the middle at the rocks, but the CM's made us continue
Scan10005.jpg

Is this at Disney? Our pics were all mixed up, so I think this may be at Universal, but I'm not positive.

I'm pretty certain this is the old skyway ride (Don't know the official name...). DSis's were getting excited when people would wave to them!

I know we have some from our second trip at Epcot and MGM, but those might be at my dad's house. I will have to try to find them this weekend.

I finally took some more pictures of stuff for the trip. I should get them uploaded and ready later tonight or tomorrow. I have a ton of stuff I still want to do. The trip seemed so far away for so long and now it seems so close I won't get everything done!

I just got our flights for cheaper! :cool1:

The price came down $12 on each ticket. So, now we have a $44 credit at Southwest!

I'm hoping the rental car price drops a little, too.

ETA: I just checked and the car came down, too!! Woo-hoo!

My DBF’s parents: From here on out referred to as BM and BD. (Boyfriend’s mom and Boyfriend’s dad.) Unless, of course, someone can come up with a better way to refer to them…

DBF and I have been dating for 7.5 years, so his parents and I know each other pretty well. This will be our first trip together for more than a long weekend, though, so we’ll see how it goes.

Again, you're such a good writer! What an interesting PTR.

Two things:
1) The nurse in me sees BM and thinks bowel movement. The girl that uses Natural Family Planning in me and lurks on Trying to conceive (TTC) message boards in me sees BD has Baby-Dance :rotfl2:
2) After 7.5 years, do we maybe have a DISNEY PROPOSAL to look forward to?

How did you get flights for cheaper? I thought once you paid you were locked in? THATS AWESOME:cool1:

I can't win with the abbreviations for DBF's parents! :rotfl2: Maybe I'll just stick to DBF'd parents/mom/dad! Too much time on here tells me TTC is Ticket & Transportation Center! ;)

I would love a Disney proposal, but I'm not going to be holding my breath on it. I doubt it will happen on this trip.

I booked through Southwest. If the price of any flight drops, you can go in and adjust your reservation to get the lower price. They don't refund your money, but they give it to you in the form of a credit to be used within a year. It's just another awesome thing I learned from being on the DIS. I used to have a link to the thread about it, if I find it again, I can post it if you're interested.

I don't want you to work too hard, but if you have it offhand, that would rock! With rising airfare costs, I really want to go in September and anything I can do to save money helps convince DBF. Do any other airlines do that?

I know I have to switch TTC in my head depending on which board it's in. The weirdest thing for me was doing nursing in my internship and nursing in my actual career. I'm an RN on a Pulmonary floor and we get motor vehicle accidents, when we ask about ROM it means Range of Motion. In my Labor & Delivery internship, it means Rupture of Membranes (water broke!) :cool1:

I am SO jealous you get to go back. How do I talk DBF into September (free DDP)

Here's the link that explains all about it:
http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1766040

I don't know if any other airlines do or not. I've never heard of it, but then again, I hadn't heard of Southwest doing it until I read this thread!

All those abbreviation differences must be confusing!

Good luck talking your DBF into going in September. I don't know if I have any hints. Try to make him think it's his idea!? :rotfl:

Ok, here's some of the stuff I bought the other day for our trip...

IMG_3353.jpg

I seriously have about 5 more tubes of glow sticks! DBF wouldn't let me buy anymore the last time we were out! :lmao: He told me I had too many already...which, I suppose is true!

A mini-M&M tube for my quarters and pennies. Some LGMH's which need to be made into luggage tags. Lime green ribbon to tie on the tags. I saw the Disney paper at Jo-Ann's and I thought I might find a use for it, so I grabbed it. A pirates notebook to jot stuff down when we get home at night. A pajama top I got on clearance from the Disney Store - they were out of the bottoms that match :( . And the canvas bag which I haven't decided if I'm using yet. I wanted to put a design on it and use it to get autographs from the characters. I don't know if I'll actually do it, though. 1 - I don't know if I want to carry it around with me and 2 - I think I might feel dumb getting character autographs! We'll see. I might take it and see what happens when I get there. Disney does bring out the kid in us all!

Here's a photo album I made last year after our trip...

IMG_3355.jpg

I have some more pictures, but I have to upload them first. DSis and I went to a concert yesterday, though, so I have to upload all those first or she might kill me. ;)

Today is project day! I have a couple shirts to make and I need to get my LGMH's ready. I also want to try to get some info on index cards (which I have a feeling I left all of them at school and will have to go buy some :worried:) so I have it with me in the parks.

I also need to pre-order our Photopass (I hope it's worth it!) and book a bunch of stuff for our upcoming cruise. I've been so focused on Disney, i have kind of put cruise stuff on the back burner, but it needs to get done today.

I feel like I left something out that needs to get done today... :confused3 Hopefully, I'll remember! I'll be back to post the pics I took of more stuff!

Great that the price went down! :cool1:

Love all the old pictures!
I want to search for ours next time I visit my Mom. Not sure what I'll find.

I bought M&Ms yesterday for the same reason.

Good luck getting everything done!

Here's some of the stuff from my Disney binder:

The binder itself:
IMG_3358.jpg

Here are our tickets for this year!
IMG_3359.jpg

I saved my tickets from last year and found a great use for them. well, at least one of them. They make fabulous bookmarks! At least the hard plastic ones! I love them.

Here's my packing list. It's not really exclusive to Disney, but I just keep it going since we travel fairly often. I just cross off what I don't need for an individual trip before I actually start packing. I used to make a new list every year, but that seemed like a waste of time and I always ended up forgetting something. This one now has just about everything on it. It looks like a lot, but it's not really. It also includes some things for DBF, so it's really both of our list.
IMG_3362.jpg

Here's the folder in the back of the binder to keep all my extra stuff together. I also have a Jack Sparrow one I use at school for papers and my students always comment on it!
IMG_3363.jpg

There's sections devoted in the binder to hotel/flight/car rental/park info./ etc. I didn't take pics of all that because there's too much personal info. I always have a binder for whatever trip we're taking. This summer I actually have two different ones!

Here's the personalized maps we sent away for. I couldn't really get a good picture, but I thought some people might like to see what they look like.

There is a map for the Magic Kingdom, but I couldn't get it to save right after blacking out my last name so it's not going to be posted. :(

And here's the envelope they came in. They also came with some stickers to mark off your own points of interest on the map.
IMG_3372.jpg

Ok, I have to get back to my projects! I didn't get enough done yet. Hopefully, they'll be done by tomorrow and I can post pictures.

4 more days!!!!!

Nice stuff, i love that tank top!

Thanks for the link!

I posted pictures in my TR of that stuff you wanted to see, but they're HUGE. I'm not very tech savvy.

I have more pics to put on it, but i'm too afraid they'll be HUGE too

I still need to find more shiny pennies! That's the hardest part of the whole thing!

Yay! I'm heading over now to see them.

DSis was so scared of the Shark Reef. She refused to ever go back. She is still scared of sharks! You can see her hanging on to me for dear life. She actually tried to stop in the middle at the rocks, but the CM's made us continue

I loved the older pictures! It's strange because I don't feel that 1998 was that long ago! Then I realize it's already 2008. Time really does fly at this age, I guess!

Wow, I would NEVER EVER EVER go into the Shark Reef! At least your DSis can talk about the experience!

OoO, post the luggage tags when you're finished, please! I got the LGMH's and I'm not quite sure what to do with them. I believe I read somewhere on DIS that if you soak the whole thing, the green head comes apart from the backing? Something like that ... I'll have to find that thread again.

That PJ top is adorable! I'm going to have to start shopping at the Disney store again for clothes!

That canvas bag autograph idea is great! All the characters have the Disney-esque signatures, it would make a GREAT keepsake! C'mon, you know you want to ;)

Here's the personalized maps we sent away for.

What's so special about the personalized maps? Is it just the personalization? A while ago, Weird and I were listing things that we wanted to do if/when we ever took a trip there together (like get ears, have a Dole Whip). One thing he listed was the personalized maps, and I never looked into it. How much did it cost?

I will definitely post the luggage tags when I'm done! I tried soaking them last year, but it didn't work very well for me or else I just didn't have the patience...;) I'm going to try to either cut them out or use the backing.

I like the bag idea too (I got it from here!) but I think I'll feel silly doing it. I'm probably going to take it at least the first day and see how it goes.

The maps are FREE!!!!!! :cool1: They're pretty nice. They are on a thicker paper and they're larger than regular maps. It's nice to see the layout of the parks and kind of get an idea of where everything is. They make a good keepsake. We have a bunch of maps framed already in our apartment...maybe I could talk DBF into framing the one of the whole WDW resort. I bet it would look nice! :lmao:

(PS. I hope you and Weird get to go!!)

You have such cute graphics! :thumbsup2

All my lists are plain and boring. :(

I love the Will Turner folder.

The maps are really cool! I have always been really into maps.
I have intended to order the maps for a while, but have never gotten around to it. :confused3 Will have to do that!

 3 more days!!!

I had a dream about riding Toy Story Midway Mania last night! That's how you know you're excited about going to Disney World!!! :rotfl:

DSis asked me yesterday again... "When are we leaving?" ARGH! :faint:

Thanks! I love making things pretty. I do it all the time with everything. DBF makes fun of me for spending so long playing wit clipart and fonts and colors on everything. I even do it on worksheets I make for my students. They like to make fun of me also! Although, they learn rather quickly that they can't turn in anything art-project wise (we do a lot of drawing/projects in history) unless it's pretty. They'll hand me something un-colored and I'll just look at it and they'll say "I know, I know. Make it pretty right?" You got it!

You should definitely order the maps. They're pretty nice and I seriously do think the one of the whole resort would look nice framed in certain rooms. We have two other maps framed in our house that have the same coloring and style.

I am really annoyed right now. DBF reformatted his whole computer and left everything unhooked up. So, I can't print to his computer from my computer. He doesn't have any programs installed on his, so I can't print from his computer. My computer (laptop) doesn't seem to have a printer hookup to it. Now, I can't do anything else on my projects. GRRRRR. :furious:

Obviously, I didn't really get anything done yesterday. I was finishing up my video of our trip to the P&PP and now that's annoying me because I can't get it to upload anywhere even though I broke it down into parts and it's not that huge.

Here's what I've pretty much been watching all day while trying to do some things.

IMG_3364.jpg

IMG_3374.jpg

And here's DSis airing out her feet in her version of the Kimmy Gibbler picture! (I told her not to take her shoes off and expose her nasty feet to others!)
251967792_dNCv8-L-2.jpg

I'm going to take DSis to the Grand Floridian and see if the piano and swing from this episode are still there. She'll love it. We'll act out Full House!
IMG_3373.jpg

And I asked DBF if he would get the MK to write my name in fireworks like on Full House and he said no!
IMG_3375.jpg

I love love love this episode! It always makes me want to go to WDW and so it's only fitting I watch it when I'm actually going!
