What are the crowds like during Halloween?

Hi All,

My family and I want to spend fours days at Fort Wilderness sometime between October 20th and 30th. Does anyone know what the crowds are like during this time, including in the parks? We would probably go to Magic Kingdom and one of the other parks.

Oct. use to be a nice little secret but the secret is out and that month has become more poplular every year at WDW! Weekends in Oct.,especially Fri. and Sat nights at EPCOT tend to be somewhat crowded because of the Food and Wine Festival.

But over all to me and my crew,that time of year, is our favorite and the best time to visit WDW!!

The weather is usually beautiful and we love F&W and MNSSHP!

More than anything, I wanted my relatives to see a response from somebody "in-the-know," so yours was greatly appreciated. Of all my trips to WDW, I have never been in October! We are very excited about returning to our favorite place on earth...

It looks like we will be staying at FW from October 20-23 (during my DD 7th B-day), returning in early December for a day or two to see the decorations (maybe Epcot), and then again for a longer stay in January for AK and extras. I stopped going during summer months long ago!

Dh and I went last year 10/20 to 10/26 and it was super busy but I think that had a lot to do with Hurricane Wilma and the evacuations for SWFL....we had plans for 4 days but extended it because our area was hit by the hurricane....we met so many people at the resort that lived where we were......


I guess it will depend on that again this year.
