I am trying to find a table service location to eat at outside of DHS (because I do not like what they offer in the park) but I do not want to spend so much time on travel. What are the closest resorts?

You can take the boat over to the Swan/Dolphin and from there you are with in walking distance to many table service as well as quick service options. What type of meal are you looking for?

You can take a boat to the Swan & Dolphin, Boardwalk, Beach Club - all are also in walking distance. If you want to leave by car then probably the Carribean Beach Resort is right up the road on the right.

The resorts closest to DHS are:

POP Century
Boardwalk
Swan and Dolphin (not Disney owned)
Yacht & Beach Club
Caribbean Beach

Coronado Springs is a little further out but still close.

I think those are the closest. Did I miss any?

You could take the boat over to the Yacht Club and dine at the Captains Grille (1 table service) or the Yachtsman Steakhouse (2 TS).

Boardwalk is close and has many dining options - we'd walk there instead of waiting for a boat - we have three boys who can walk slowly, and it takes us less than 15 minutes. (Although we haven't been to WDW in the summer months yet, so I might change my "walk instead of boat" recommendation after our trip next month!)

Cape May at BS is a really good buffet and you can walk/boat there from DHS. As others said, Boardwalk and Swan or Dolphin are also within walking/boating distance It just depends what restaurant you prefer. There are some good choices in this area.

That's what I was going to say. You can walk to the BW area resorts in about 15 minutes or so. Or take a boat.

And CBR is a 3 minute bus ride from DHS. Literally right around the corner! (Same with POP)

If you are using Disney transport, you can take the boat or walk to Boardwalk or Yacht and Beach Club. There are several good places to dine. You also have the options of Swan and Dolphin but they are not included on the Dining Plan if you are participating in it. Lastly, EPCOT is walkiing distance via the International Gateway and as you probably know, the dining options are endless here!! Best of luck!:thumbsup2

It all depends on what kind of food you are looking for. If you have a park hopper or length of stay pass, you can take the boat to the Boardwalk or Yacht Club and walk into EPCOT for any of their restaurants.

As others have said, the Boardwalk, Swan/Dolphin and YBC have great options.

I will say that the Brown Derby is a place we never miss even if I go in just to get my Cobb salad fix.
