I totally dont recommend the Carousel for trust issues, but the Tropicana & Hojo are MINT!!

Try the Anabell...it is pretty nice and you are able to walk. The prices aren't bad either.

Yeah, the Carousel doesn't get my vote b/c of both third-party trust problems,...
Pardon my stupidity, but what do you mean trust issues? You don't trust the people working there?
We stayed there 2 years ago and were happy with it so we're staying again over halloween. Should I be panicking?? I was going to make the comment that I thought it was a good hotel that's close...inquiring minds want to know!
Bleh. Well, I'll keep it as is and just lock everything in my luggage. I do that anyway when I travel. :/A Diser stayed and had a problem with stuff being taken from her room and then mysteriously returned when they complained.
Like you we have stayed there and had a great stay and as I was in contact with the hotel at the time as I was getting quotes for our stay next year I asked them about it.
My feeling on it is there are two sides to every story (I won't go into detail), but it certainly looks like the hotel management has changed and perhaps standards have gone down since we were there in 2006, I haven't taken them off my possible list of hotels, at the moment we are tossing up between Camelot and Carousel.

Thanks for the info and I'll give an update when I get back. I go in 2 weeks.
We locked the cash, passports and camera into the safe whenever we weren't in the room and hid the laptop in one of the drawers under clothes. I would do that at any hotel we stay at....
I wouldn't be too worried and I really look forward to your report back, we aren't going until June next year and won't be booking till December at the earliest.
Did you know as second time stayer you are entitled to a free upgrade to a club suite.
How do we go about that? We've only ever stayed in a regular 2 queen bed room (both the first stay and the one coming up in 2 weeks). Do we just ask at the desk if there's availability??
