It has been widely speculated on these boards that the free dining plan in late Aug., all Sept. and early October is to encourage people to come in the season which last year saw multiple hurricanes and a lot of trip cancellations. It would be great if the free dining was extended, but I wouldn't hold my breath. It appears to be serving its purpose for the targetted time frame.

I also think it will be a one time thing. I think it is to really get people in there and trying the new dining plan out - to let people see that it is cost effective to buy it the next time they come down. If they do anything, I think they may do a discount package but I don't think free again. Disney always mixes up there specials to try and not offer the same things again.

I tend to think it is to bring in people during the hurricane season, but.....I'm still crossing my fingers it gets extended. Didn't the Fairytale Package (stay for 7, pay for 4) and the stay for 7, pay for 5 deal both get extended?
