What are the chances?

I am trying to add a park day to the front of our stay. Now the calendar shows that the MK is booked on April 15th. What are the chances that it might open up again, or that a slot might become available? Are there any strategies to snagging a spot should one become available?

A number of people are facing this challenge. The only strategy is to try many times each day. I would also try booking the park reservation as opposed to checking the availability calendar.

We hear of people trying to add a park but I haven’t heard if any are successful. Hopefully others will share their experiences here.

I've also read that the park pass availability calendar doesn't update automatically and only updates every so often so there may be cancellations that aren't represented. As PP noted, try to make the park reservation repeatedly. Good luck!

On Thursday morning, I added a day to my family's tickets for later this week and was able to get 3 park passes for MK on Easter, even though the calendar shows that park as unavailable. I was able to get the passes for two people right away after adding a day to our tickets, but it took trying repeatedly throughout the day before I got one that afternoon for the third person in our party.

Are there any strategies to snagging a spot should one become available?

We ran into this as we added on 4/17-4/19 - If you have park hoppers or AP then it makes it a little easier as you can hop to another park after 2pm. So in that case we booked what was available and will just hop to the park we really wanted in the afternoon.

We started with 4 day tickets because the other days were sold out. We then were able to make reservations for the "sold out" days and then added extra days on to our tickets in order to make reservations for the non-blocked out days. With it being on the front of your stay, idk if you can make reservation for that day without extending your tix first.

My DD was tracking three family units (10 people total) and forgot one of her own kids. The day needed was April 10 , a Sunday at MK. Took both of us clicking over the course of one day to get a spot for her.

May sound silly, but did you just keep refreshing and trying consistently, or did you hop on randomly to check? I've been trying both methods with little success - yet! Still have 2+ more weeks to keep trying.

Both. I tried refreshing consistently for a while, and after finding nothing I waited a while and hopped back on, refreshed a handful of times and then found one.
