What are the chances they offer free dining in 2012 from September to December again? I see they did it for 2009 & 2010 and from what I'm gathering, they are offering it again this year. We'll be on our honeymoon from October 27th until November 4th. Say they do offer free dining and we booked our trip and made our reservations ahead of the announcement, would we still qualify or would we have to cancel the trip and rebook it for the same time?

There is no way of knowing what will be offered. There's a good chance that you will be able to find some kind of discount, be it free dining or room discount, etc.

You absolutely may book your vacation and change it to add a discount. You should keep in mind that each discount has it's own inventory allotment (such as X number of rooms at resort Y for a specific discount) so you may be required to change room category or resort to partake of a specific discount. Just wanted you to have a heads up that if you have a dream resort and you only want to stay there that may make using some discounts more difficult.

I would like the know the same thing but about 2011. They offered it but I missed it. You think they will offer it again for that time period?

We want to stay at CBR since that's where I use to work. Don't care what part of the hotel as long it's not the pirate themed rooms. Heard those beds were horrible to sleep on.

But I will definetely leave my options open for other hotels. I know the 2012 rates will be out in August, but when can you start booking? We have a gift card we have been adding money to and I'd like to at least put out deposit down as soon as it's available.

They keep saying that they are reducing the big promos so only time will tell. BUT the 27th-4th will almost certainly be blacked out. Halloween week and Jersey week following Halloween have been blocked out very frequently. Last year to get FD you had to check in Thurs of the week before Halloween and FD didn't start again until after mid Nov.
