What are the chances we won't get a car at Sci-Fi

I just booked our reservation for Sci-Fi for our VERY surprise June trip. What are the chances we won't get a car table? My 3 year old is completely obsessed with cars. He will be heart-broken if we walk in and he sees people eating in cars and he doesn't get to.

I booked it too for our upcoming trip. I think that almost all of the tables are cars. Just let the CM know when you check in at SciFi that you want that kind of table. In my experience, they usually try to make things happen. You just may have to wait a bit. Also, try checking in early with your request.

The last time we went we were told since we had an ADR we were guaranteed a car...not sure that has changed though. That was in August 2008...

It was the same in July 2009.

I heard when some people were complaining about the wait they did offer them the option of the "non-car" table but as long as you have an ADR you can wait for the car table. We've gone many, many times and the longest wait we ever had with an ADR was 15 minutes.

We had an ADR and just had to wait a little longer for a car too.

I don't think you'll have to worry at all, every time we've gone we've been given a car. I don't know if it's a rule or anything but i know someone who said they had to ask NOT to have a car. I agree that you should just mention it to the CM at check-in and you should be all set. Your son will love these cars! Be sure to let him sit in the "Driver's seat"!!
Also order a shake, they are scrumptious!
