What are the chances...tent site Jan.1 and Jan.2?

Well, I asked here last week about camping between Christmas and New Years and got some great advice. I was finally able to speak with DH about it this afternoon and we decided to give it a whirl.

Unfortunately, instead of Dec. 27th- Jan. 2nd that I was hoping for, there was only availability for the 27th-31st. I took it, and am now trying to add on the last two days.

Do I have any chance of getting these two days? What's the best way to try for these nights? I'm assuming I jsut need to call every day but I was on hold today for almost 30 minutes! What is the best time to call?

Anyone else have luck in this situation?

Keep calling and calling or let Rhonda (here on the boards) from Dreams Unlimited Travel take care of it for you. I am one of those people who like to take care of every little detail myself, but I have found it takes less time and is a lot easier to let Rhonda do it.

Calling first thing is the morning will give you first dibs on released reservations from the previous day. You can try booking online if the holds are too long, but you should enter more than the two-day range you need since the system seems to balk at short ressies... CRO can combine the two once you get them. I would check with increasing frequency as you close in on 45 days from arrival, since that is the deadline to cancel packages for a full refund. Keep trying, I'd bet you get your days... especially if the economy doesn't pick up.

Maybe they've had cancellations because I called today at around 11:30 am and was able to book a partial hook up site for 12/19-1/2.
