What are the chances of discounts at Christmas?

We're planning a trip from December 23-28 this year. We usually go the week before Christmas but this will be our first time at Disney during this peak holiday week.

For anyone who has been at this time.... are discount rates available this week at all? I've checked with AAA and with Swan/Dolphin (for teacher rate) and nobody has anything at all for that week.... yet.

Right now we're booked at PC at peak rate but it sure would be nice to find something a bit cheaper!

We have been there the last two years over Christmas with an annual passholder discount both times. I believe the discounts went through 12/25.

I second the AP rate! We were originally booked at ASMO for 9 nights, but with great AP rates we were able to change that to 4 nights at the Swan(starting 12/20), and 5 at the Poly(12/24). Ironically this was the lowest Ive ever paid at the Poly and it was during Holiday Season.
If you dont have APs and rates as good as last years come out, maybe buying 1 AP would be worth it for you.
