What are the chances of a room only code for Christmas 2005

Hi everyone,

Well I think I have convinced hubby to go back for Christmas, I really want to see Disney at Christmas time. We will get room only and buy tickets sep. Are there ever codes to get discounts at Chrismtas time??? Also if I want Dec 24 - 31st when do I need to book. I started trying in Nov 2004 for Xmas 2004 and everything except the big money resorts where sold out.

You will be at peak season on the 24th. We checked in on the 18th and got value season rates for our entire stay. We left on the 22nd. It is just too crazy at Disney after the 24th. We did that the year before and hated it. I would never, ever go after the 24th again. If at all possible, you should go before the 25th. You will see the same decorations, shows, etc. If you have no choice in your dates, I suggest contacting a TA. We use The Magic For Less. Love them. Deb got our room at the resort we wanted with all the requests we wanted. Had a great time. We made our reservations in the summer and the codes came out in late August. I can't remember if there were certain dates blacked out or not. Our dates were not, so I didn't pay attention to the other dates.

For the dates you are talking about- chances are slim to none. This is during the most popular and crowded time of year- why offer discounts when you know your resorts will all fill up without them?

Maybe you could try to get there before Christmas- usually, prices are lower til close to Christmas. It will be much less crowded, and you will still see the same decorations and shows.
