What are the BEST & WORST DVC Rooms?

Although probably not as bad a view as 1221, we've stayed one floor up in 1321 and we're grateful that at least the view over the porte cochere is finished pitched roofing with pretty gables (as opposed to view of a flat black roof that I once experienced at Jambo in the forefront of my supposed pool view 🙁) ...The angled monorail view also helped make it better.
We were in 1421 a few years ago and it was SO nice! We had a great view of the monorail, and it was so peaceful. I got some lovely photos of the monorail going by at sunset.

What does one do with room number information? Do we have any control over which room number in a category we get?
I'm with @CarolMN - don't request (or unrequest) specific rooms, but I've generally had an understanding of which room numbers to avoid, and then I've asked at the front desk if there are any other rooms available, and I'm willing to wait if it's a matter of waiting for a room to get turned over. Generally, I don't have very high expectations; my goal at VGF is just to avoid 1221, and avoid the first floor if I've asked for a high floor (but the one time that happened, we turned out to really like the first floor anyway. Not so much that I'd ask for the 1st floor, but lemonade and lemons, you know.
