I am be in Disney Dec 11-18 and a family of 4 is traveling with us and they are vegetarians. I would like to make PS but am at a loss for which restaurants are best suited for vegeatarian meals. My family is not vegetarian but want to ensure that our guests are comfortable where we eat.

I don't think you'll have a problem - every restaurant pretty much offers a vegetarian option on the menu. I've never experienced a problem and I'm the only vegetarian in my family. Spoodles and CA Grill are two of my favorites.

Thank you. We are staying at AKL. Never stayed here before. Do you know how the restaurants here are for Veggies?

The AKL has a wonderful buffet-style restaurant called Boma. There are plenty of vegetarian choices available there (depending on how strict your vegetarian friends are about what they eat, of course, i.e seafood?, dairy?)

The dinner menu changes daily. This listing gives you a good idea of the types of foods, over 60 items offered.

oh this is my question! I posted a long reply a while back if you want to search for it.

Boma is good, but note that they do not necessarily change all the veggie items out, so you may hit identical items if you go twice. Also sometimes the veggies may be something not to their liking (ie green beans for me) so then it's not as extensive, but it is DEFINITELY worth a visit.

Jiko is one of the best for veggies - Chef Annette has several options available.

Other good choices are California Grill, Concourse Steakhouse, Yachclub Galley, Yachtmans' Steakhouse, Chefs de France, Akershus.

Sorry, just got back, too tired to post much, but message me if you like, or I'll add more another day!

I asked DD (who was vegetarian on one of our trips - of course, as a teen, has now started eating meat/fish again! LOL!) which was her favorite veggie meal and surprisingly she said the best one was the vegetarian meal they prepared for her at the Luau at the Poly!

My DH is a vegetarian (but I am not). The restaruants at WDW are really good about different diets. There always seems to be at least one vegetarian item on the menu. My DH is an 'order off the menu' type of guy so we never ventured into the area of talking to the chef, but I have heard positive reports from others. He really enjoyed the Kona Cafe, Spoodles and Crystal Palace (breakfast). He also really wanted to go to Jiko but our little one got sick that night - next trip. Also, lunch at the Columbia Harbour House at MK for counter service was a winner!

We're not vegetarians, but I think my wife could be - athough she couldn't live without a steak every once in a while. Anyway, she loves to get the vegetarian platter at the Tangerine Cafe' in Morocco at Epcot. It has, hummus, taboule' (or however you spell that) a lentil salad, marinated olives, madarin orange cous cous and bread and all for only $7.95! If it wasn't for the olives and that the roasted lamb and chicken with that sauce that's so dadgum good, I'd go with the veggie plate too! hee hee hee

God bless!
Mark
