What shopping mall is the best for teenagers?
Which is the nearest to POFQ (no car)?
Is taxis the best way to and from a mall?

There are a few malls in Orlando.

Overall the best is the Florida Mall, for a good overall selection of stores (for all ages!) and a nice food court too.

Premium Outlets is also recommended, discount outdoor mall with designer clothing, sportswear, jewellery, perfumes plus many more , Adidas/Nike for example both have stores here.
Mainly end of line items , so can be a bit hit and miss.

Festival Bay at the bottom end of I-drive is a newer mall that still has plenty of untaken plots - however, there is a Ron Jon surf store here , worth a visit for this alone.

Further afield, possibly too far without a car, is the Mall At Millenia, another large mall full of designer stores, surf gear, big Department stores.

As we rent a car I cannot properly advise on transport, but a Taxi to the Florida Mall would be roughly $30 each way.

Depends whether we are talking teenage boy or teenage girl?

Our DS (14 nearly 15!) loves shopping in USA. He particularly likes the Premium outlets, good mix of sports and other types of clothes etc. However, for jeans we tend to use the Prime (ex Belz) outlet - they have a big levis outlet and other denim stores as well. For trainers, again Premium outlets are a hit. He especially likes the Puma brand they have their own shop there.

Mall at Millenia is a nice place, but caters to more expensive tastes. We had a look round there 2 years ago, but haven't been back since. May try it again this year just to look LOL.

So, so true. Some of the shops son't even have prices - if you have to ask you can't afford it! It was nice to visit but I doubt I'd go back to MAM.

Visits to the Florida Mall, Premium Outlets and Festival bay are (for us) as important as going to any of the Disney or Universal theme parks.

I do agree, however we really like M&M, there are many shops there that I would never go in and it does appear the assistants are waiting to pounce on you....however, the Macy's and Bloomingdales are probably the best Department stores in Central Florida, plus there is a Quiksilver & American Eagle store there and my favourite of all Tommy Bahama. :thumbsup2

In addition the food court is very good and it never seems as busy as the Florida Mall, although as I said earlier overall FM is the best so perhaps that is why.

Unless you rent a car or limo/taxi, there's not much shopping for regular clothes at WDW. Grand Floridian has Bally and a few others, but not teen related. Only teen related store on property is Sands at DTD.

The Belz and Premium Outlets are pretty good. Never been to the Florida mall, but if you find a Nordstrom's that's a nice store (some teen stuff there). Macy's has a very decent teen selection, but Dillard's does not.

Maybe if you go across the street of DTD you can catch a bus or shuttle to the outlets/malls.
