What are the best CHOCOLATE desserts you've had at WDW?

These restaurants aren't on your list but I thought I should mention them in case the chocolate influences your decision. LOL

The Brown Derby has a to-die-for Flourless Chocolate Cake, probably the best food EVER.

At Pleasure Island, Fulton's Crabhouse has a Milk Chocolate Creme Brule, another to-die-for treat. I never have room for dessert so I end up getting that one in a to-go box......it's a wonderful treat to eat at midnight!

Enjoy your chocolatey trip!

I think that we'll have to extend our trip. Yeah - try explaining this to DH. "Honey, we just have to stay longer so I can try out all of these chocolate desserts." :lmao: This would be his response: :sad2: :rolleyes2

I'm also thinking that I should rename this thread "The Best Chocoholic Desserts at WDW. Should I?

OK, are you sitting down?

Yes.

How about this... either before, during or after your Prime Time Cafe entree.. as your beverage, you can order a pb and j shake-- made with chocolate ice cream... (they have regular malteds too)

theoretically, double desserts-- double your pleasure, double your fun:lmao:

Gotta love that pb&j shake-- I mean, where else can you get one of THOSE???:thumbsup2

Okay - I'll be honest about this one. It doesn't seem appetizing. Even DH grimaced a bit when we saw it on the The peanut butter and chocolate part sounds yummy, but the JELLY???? That to me seems to ruin the whole thing, especially if it's grape jelly.

So, could you explain a bit more about what this tastes like before I actually take the plunge?

hows LeCelliers choc whiskey cake? Im looking for a slice of cake (or 2 or 3) that I can sink a birthday candle into
You could definitely sink a B-Day candle into it! Here's what I wrote about it in our Dining review:

The chocolate on chocolate whiskey cake was fabulous. I questioned the combo of chocolate, whiskey & tarragon yet it was a perfect combination of light chocolate cake with just a hint of Canadian whiskey, not overpowering at all, layered with chocolate mousse and served with a Tarragon Anglaise (custard sauce) YUM! :upsidedow

...how dominant is the whiskey in the cake? I don't think I like whiskey very much.

Hi again, Dafnaf :wave2: We could definitely taste a hint of the whiskey in the cake although it was very subtle!

Just how much tarragon do you taste in the sauce? I OD'd on tarragon once on a tarragon chicken salad and now can't stand the taste. I know that it's on the side, but sometimes you just have to taste it the way they serve it.

If I had not asked, I probably would have never known it was tarragon! It was really quite good- the flavors blended perfectly! And like you said, it is on the side so you can sample a tiny bit first. :upsidedow

I'd really hate to see this thread die. Maybe we can think of some chocolately desserts.

Boma (dinner) - Zebra Domes!!! Yummy

50's Prime Time Diner (lunch) - S'mores are always great. Also, brownie sundae

Le Cellier (dinner) - Chocolate Whiskey Cake... YUMMY

Columbia Harbor House - chocolate cake was ok

Anything at Epcot WS that I can nab when we get there.
Haha... just head to the world showcase and go to some of the pastry shops...
Boulangerie Patisserie in France (chocoalte eclairs, chocolate croissant, etc)

I haven't tried this, but you could get a chocolate filled crepe at the Chefs de France Kiosk.

Some other places to stop by...

Cookes of Dublin - get the doh-bar... mmm... deepfried snickers!

And of course.... Ghiradelli in DTD... mmm..

Oooo... and the No Way Jose or the Fudge Mud slide at Beaches 'n Cream!!!

Ok... I still have 3.5 weeks before I get there and now I'm craving chocolate!!!

If you see Flourless Chocolate Cake on the buffet at Boma, dive in! :thumbsup2

Just got around to checking back in here... I thought the pbj shake sounded odd too- but y'all should try it, it's unique and yummy! And they could probably leave out the jelly if you didn't want it. Our waiter, JL, told us that they throw in a lump of pb and a little jelly - because truly I figured it was a prepackaged mix or some liquid flavoring. And it being Disney, if you hate it, you know they will usually take it back and give you something else. And if you like it- well, it's only your beverage and you can still have s'mores or a sundae for dessert- or another shake.
I had a chocolate cake once made with black pepper- now THAT was strange. And there were sea salt-topped chocolate brownies at Trader Joe's yesterday. Interesting what we are doing with chocolate nowadays....

Speaking of strange chocolate combinations, a few weeks ago we had mustard chocolates at a local mustard mill. The lady said, "You just have to try them!" So we did. They were gross.

Okay - I've made this thread more generic, changing the title to the best chocolate desserts you've had at any CS or TS restaurant while at WDW. Here's what I added to the first message:

ETA: Even though I'm not changing my basic request of this thread - you'll see that below this remark - I've changed the title to this thread to add in ALL of the wonderful chocolate treats (desserts, snacks and/or drinks) that you have had while from a CS or TS restaurant at WDW, not just from the ones that I will be going to soon.

Make sure to state the treat, restaurant and theme park/resort where you found the goodie. And please feel free to share any photos you may have, too. CHOCOHOLICS, UNITE! :rotfl2:

We want to hear from you!
:wave2:

Sooooo, let's here from you!

Years ago, I'm thinking '95, at Bistro de Paris I had a dessert that was a set of three small chocolate souffles. One milk, one dark, and one semi-sweet. It was served with a small pitcher of warm creme anglais.

Still think of that dessert from time-to-time...
