What are the advantages of the concierge level at WL?

We stayed at WL CL, this past November and had a wonderful time. The "lounge" served full-continental breakfast every morning, which was a huge bonus for our family with three small boys. Also, the lounge would have all day snacks (cheese and crackers, veggies, pb&j's, etc) and hot items in the evening (chicken and potatoes, soups, etc). This was great for a quick bite or a small dinner. The concierge staff was great. I didn't have them do much of our planning (we moved from YC CL) but they did cancel some PS's for us.

For us, the benefit was knowing that we didn't have to travel five flights to grab some milk for our 2 year old or some cookies for our bigger boys. It is just an extra piece of mind. You will find a lot of posters asking "is it worth the money" and that is something you have to work out for yourself. I figure the 3 days we stayed at WL CL is saved us $75 worth of breakfast and $200 in dinners (assuming one sit down meal would cost our family $100 ~ which isn't a stretch). Most importantly, is was worth the convenience and relaxation of sitting in the lounge. I am sure lots of people will disagree with me, but you need to figure it out for your family. I hope this helps. Have a great trip. :D

Does anyone have any pictures of the WL concierge lounge?

As of right now, there is no "lounge" per say. When you get off the elevator on the concierge floor, directly to your right is the conciege staff podium. It looks like a small workspace for the CM's. There is also two small tables for guests, one with a newspaperand other Disney info. and the other with Lincoln logs. The food offerings are placed in the hallway overlooking the lobby, I believe right in the "bear's eyes". There are several tables and a few couches around the other two hallways that overlook the lobby. I felt this was a really cool way to do the "lounge". We had a lot of fun sitting at the tables and being able to look down onto lobby and listen to Whispering Canyon, especially since the Xmas decorations were up.

It is my understanding that WL will be constructing an actual "lounge" this spring. I am sure that someone on the concierge thread will have that info.

Hope this helps.

Is the sixth floor the concierge floor? If so, does that mean that the balconies are all the private ones that you can't see through?

We were on the 7th floor for concierge and they have the enclosed balconies which I do not like so I doubt I'll stay concierge there again.

We're thinking of staying WL Concierge and I've been reading that it's noisy on the seventh floor because of all the hoopla at WCC. For those who have stayed there, what was your experience?

I stayed on the 7th floor in October - I heard no noise from WCC in my room. I did hear some noise in the "lounge area" but it was not just from WCC. The Balcony is open to the lobby so you get that noise too.
