What are some of your favorite Disney songs?

Two of my favorites are "Little April Showers" and "Once Upon a Dream". Oh and "Can You Feel the Love Tonight?" (but not the Elton John version - the actual movie version - it brings back good memories for me. )

I especially love the insturmental versions of them. I am so glad for the classical Disney CD recommendations that I got a couple weeks ago! The songs are AMAZING!! I have one in the guest room and one in the kitchen. And am going to copy them to cassettes so I can listen to them in the car (I refuse to get a cd player for my car since my old car got the cd player stolen out of it.

I LOVE the Little Mermaid Soundtrack. The whole thing is awesome, but a few of my favs from that is

- Daughters of Triton

- Tour of the kingdom

- Part of your world "Reprise" version (Where she is sitting on her rock singing to Eric and the wave come over her at the end of the song)

- Happy Ending

"Beauty and the Beast" - the song tells the entire love story

And... (dont shoot me) "It's a Small World" I truly do like the song, and it's message.

The finale from Fantasmic is my favorite "Disney" music of all time, although I really do enjoy the music from MSEP as well. Both always get me a little choked up.

From the movies - "Following the Leader" from Peter Pan and "When you Wish Upon a Star" from Pinocchio.

I love "Beauty and the Beast" (DD just HAS to dance to this at least once a day ), "Once Upon a Dream" and others that I can't think of right now

I especially love this song because both my two and three year old sing it all the time. It's so cute to hear the baby slaughter the words, but you still know what he means.

The baby also hums "It's a Small World" constantly. That one wears on me though!

As for movie soundtracks, I like the old "Mary Poppins" stuff. I am really partial to "The Little Mermaid's" songs. I love "Kiss the Girl," "Under the Sea" and "Part of Your World." I also like some of the "Beauty and the Beast" songs and some of the Aladdin songs. Disney was on a good streak for a while in the late '80s - early '90s. "Lion King" has a couple of good ones, but then it started to go downhill. "When She Loved Me," from "Toy Story 2," is touching and great. I could go on. "Bare Necessities" and "Zip a Dee Doo Dah" (sp?) are great.

In the parks, I mean, it annoys me but hearing "It's a Small World" reminds me of DLR. I love "Yo Ho Yo Ho, A Pirate's Life For Me," and "Grim Grinning Ghosts."

But what I am especially fond of are the parades and firework shows. I have been hunting down Spectromagic, Remember Dreams Come True, and DL's Fantasmic!

I like the songs from Mary Poppins too. Also, we have a disney music cd set and I like some of the songs on it from the old live action movies like The Parent Trap, Monkey's Uncle, Whale of a Tale. Oh and I like the DuckTales theme. Of course, like most of you, I could go on and on about all the different songs I like but those are the ones that stuck out in my mind right now.

Feed the Birds always makes me cry.
I super love the Monkey music in Fantasmic!
Baby Mine from Dumbo. I sang that to my kids when they were babies.
He's a Tramp from Lady and the Tramp.
And I really like the "La La La La La" that is sung in the Haunted Mansion Holiday.

From the loop played on Main Street.....Put On Your Sunday Clothes! This is originally from Hello Dolly and made a brief appearance in WALL-E. I've searched high and dry for the instrumental only version but it just can't be found. The tempo is a bit fast but this is the closest I've come so far.....

I Wanna be like You from the Jungle Book. I heard the Dezi Arnaz band play it once on the radio (local college station) and have never been able to find it again. It was wonderful. After that Scales and Arpeggios (Aristocats)

If you have ever heard the song "Just like we dreamed it" played at Disneyland Paris.... I seriously wish they would play that song at all the parks. I still listen to it anyway and it just gives me this fuzzy excited thrilling feeling.
