What are some great things I should take into the parks?

A couple of things I didn't see listed and have used... A carabiner clip. This allows you to hang the refillable mugs off the backpack. Very handy if they are wet! Duct tape. I can't remember what I have used it for, but I definitely find a use for it each trip. You can wind a small but around a sharpie. Double the amount of water bottles you think you will want.

I carried a hand towel from the hotel and it came in handy many times.

Socks in a ziplock bag in case your feet get wet.

Other than that, try to not bring anything in with you (maybe a camera if you have one). It's not a hike up Everest. Of course those with special needs, child care products of course they are needed :)

We bring protein bars into the park. We can munch them on the way to keep our energy up, and they usually allow us to skip a meal (that saves some money when we're not on the dining plan).
If you're going to eat those, I recommend always having bottles of water on you, too. Protein bars make you thirsty.

At one of the hundreds of benches throughout the parks. Take off your shoes, sprinkle a little powder in them and put them back on. It keeps your feet dry and much less chance of getting blisters. Why do you think this is so disgusting?

Why don't you wash your armpits in Cinderella's fountain while you're at it? :crazy2:

Gallon size ziplock bag with a complete outfit for smaller kids. My daughter was 4 and peed her pants walking into the bathroom at Disney World. Luckily I had a ziplock bag with a spare outfit, even socks. I put the dry clothes on her, the wet clothes in the ziplock bag and we carried on.
Also a small package of baby wipes. They can clean faces, wipe off tables, etc.

ETA: At first I thought you said 12 month old girl. I still bring an extra outfit for my 10 year old though.

So you must be one of those people that never takes their shoes off??? If you had a stone in your shoe would you walk around all day with out removing it???

A diaper pin. I heard this suggested years ago and it is just a very handy little object. I use it to secure hats and things to myself while on rides. Or maybe if I have a lightweight bag from a purchase, I can pin the bag to my purse. I've just found the diaper pin very useful for keeping all my bits and pieces attached to me while enjoying touring and attractions. My husband laughs...but I'm usually the one with more moving parts!

People walk around in sandals all day, does that gross you out too?

They're not handling their dirty, sweaty feet and shoes then putting their hands on rails, etc.. at least I hope they are not! It is not good manners to take care of personal hygiene issues in a public space. You wouldn't put on deodorant in the middle of the park, would you?

I bring a refillable water bottle with me. You can get free cups of ice water from any CS restaurant, so I pour into my water bottle. No need to bring multiple bottles of water with you.

If you prefer not to carry around water at all, just toss the cups after drinking your ice water, and get new cups as needed.

i might use a cleansing wipe in public to wipe my face. And then I would use also clean my hands. How do you know the person with the foot powder would be handling their feet, and then touching stuff, without cleaning their hands? Not to mention I think it would be easy enough to sprinkle some powder on your feet without touching them.

One thing I bring that I forgot to mention is a granola bar, or some trail mix. More than once I have felt a little off, where I knew I needed some protein or some sort of food, pretty quickly. Feeling woozey in the middle of a queue is not a great feeling. A granola bar helps me with that.

Less is more! I always carry:

-lip balm
-tylenol
-cash
-sunglasses
-bobby pin to get my crazy splash mountain bangs out of my face. I always look like crap at DW and I don't care anymore.
-portable charger

...and that's it.

Empty water bottle, band aids, sunglasses, chapstick, goldbond (for inevitable mosquito bites at night), ziploc bag for water rides, extra pair of socks, hat, hair ties, 1 granola bar per person, light poncho if rain is in the forecast.
