What are snacks or food items that you won't dare miss at DW?

Dole Whip

Magic Bars that are sold at Roaring Forks in the Wilderness Lodge

and of course no trip would be complete without a mickey bar

I have to go to Norway and have the Lefsa
My DH Grandma made this every holiday and since she passed away it is something I fondly remember her by

Judy

Oohhh...

No one's mentioned the Ginger Icecream at China in WS/Epcot. That is excellent.

i put another vote in for the frozen bananas. so yummy.

the chocolate crossiants from france/epcot :worship:

anything with bbq sauce from the flame tree counter service. "slap ya mamma" good hehe :earseek:

A trip to WDW wouldn't be complete for me if I didn't have Tonga Toast. I just love this stuff  . My DH says I'm obsessed - but I don't care - I just love it!!!!!!

We don't really get any snack items because DD would never eat her lunch or dinner if we had snacks. I really look forward to trying things like Dole Whips someday because they sound so good.

Thanks to everyone for posting. We leave for our first ever trip Feb. 3, 2005 @ 2:00 a.m. Less than 2 days left. Can't wait to get there and try all the items mentioned.

Hmmm, lots of stuff...everytime I go I come home touting 8-10 extra pounds, and that's not in my luggage either. :teeth:

I like the Dole Whip, very refreshing..
Gotta say anything from Beaches & Cream
How about the Carmel Corn from MK, over near the Hall of Presidents...that is my downfall. I usually eat so much of it, I end up with a stomach ache for the rest of the night. :guilty: (and that is exactly how I look afterward)
It ususally takes me the better part of the year to get rid of that 8-10 pounds, so since I am going only 7 months since the last visit, I am in BIG trouble. ;)

Gotta try the breakfast skillet at Whispering Canyon Cafe at Wilderness Lodge. Unlimited waffles, eggs, bacon, sausage, gravy, and mini muffins! And the staff is fabulous, very big on the wild west theme.

If you are ever at Epcot and need a little afternoon break, take the boat over to the Dolphin and get the Dolphin Splash from the little ice cream shop. Its a huge sundae with all the flavors, toppings and sauces the place offers! And the best part is that its only 12 bucks instead of the 24 dollar similar product at Beach Club!!

At MGM, best thing to do is grab a dinner and take it with you to wait for Fantasmic. We always get a cobb salad from Brown Derby to go.

At MK, you have to eat the Turkey Dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern, but if you want something quick, gotta go to Columbia Harbour House...mmm...fish and chicken! And yes, I agree, nothing like watching Wishes with roasted almonds in one hand and popcorn in the other!

Everything at AK is wonderful!! Gotta try it all atleast once! But my faves are Pizzafari and the barbecue place!!

This thread is making me hungry, lol, but I would say the No Way Jose at Beaches & Cream, and the ultra yummy Cheddar Cheese soup and breadsticks at Le Cellier at Epcot!!!

Jules

ours is the west indies patties at bahama breeze ("off campus")

Mickey ice cream bars, taffy apples, and chocolate covered Mickey-shaped pretzels.

Dole Whips, Fish and Chips from Columbia Harbor House, Kiku Sushi (Tempura Sweet Potato Sushi)

Ok the cheese and crackers I'm snacking on just aren't doing it for me! I read this and got all snacky.
Anyway...
I think if my family tried to convince me next time we go to leave without having a Cheese Plate from the counter service in France, they just have to go back to Chicago without me! Of course the desserts there are magnifique as well!
I also loved the Blueprint Omlette they serve at POR Boatwrights restaurant.
I'd also have to say Cheesecake from the food court at POR too, not because it was "all that" but it was a nice treat after the parks.

Ok NOW I have a couple of questions....WHAT is a Beaver Tail...someone please tell me it's a name of a dish and not an actually animal tail...please..???
Also I think I may have eaten a dole whip but I'm not sure...what IS a dole whip? We had an ice cream orange juicy kinda thing by the magic carpet ride in MK but my dad bought them and didn't know what they were called (he uses the point method ala caveman style to order lol).

So funny :rotfl2: you should mention the frozen bananas because I've been dying to try them. Where are they found? I posted this question many months ago and never got an answer. TIA :teeth:

I believe you can get frozen bananas from the ice cream carts. Frozen bananas are one of my absolute favorite treats. Yum yum!

:Pinkbounc Is it July 1st, yet, guys? :bounce:

Some of our favorites:

-burgers at Pecos Bill's (we love them!)
-hot fudge sundaes from Ghirardelli's (awesome)
-fried chicken and ribs at Hoop-Dee-Doo

I know that there are loads more, but these are highlights for us!

Definitely the yummy cheddar cheese soup and breadsticks at Le Cellier!!!

Jules
