What are my chances?

I have ress. at the POP from the 6/23 to 7/1. I have been trying to change my standard room to a preferred room with NO luck! Today the CM told me that she would make a note on my ress. and when I get to the hotel to ask. She said I will have a better chance. Sounds kind of funny, but I try anything at this point. Has anyone ever tried this?

The preferred rooms are really not that great. IMO, they are not worth the extra cash. We stayed in the 50's building last time and we had about a 3 minute walk to the main building. I think we were closer to it than some in the preferrered building. Also, some of the 70's rooms are close to the main building.

I would not worry too much about it.

I agree.... alot of the rooms in the 50's and 70's buildings are just as close if not closer than alot of the preferred rooms. and other than location of the preferred the rooms are exactly the same.

Here's another vote for the 50's and 70's. Take the extra $$ a preferred room would have cost and have a nice meal, or buy some extra souvenirs!

I am still debating whether or not to do preferred or not. If I could be guaranteed a 50's or 70's, then sure I wouldn't get a preferred but who's to say you won't get stuck in the 90's. I would be curious how many people did not get preferred in hopes of a better standard room only to be way off the beaten path. I don't want that.
