of snagging an 'Ohana Dinner cancellation? We are a party of 7 and will be off-site 1/4-7 and on-site 1/8-10. Slim to none? Laughable?

Didn't even think about doing ADR's when we started booking this trip back in August. Oh well. I snagged a Chef Mickey today which I couldn't get the last time we were there so that should be fun.

It will be hard because you are a larger party, it is only 2 months away, 'Ohana is very popular, and your dates include marathon weekend. Cancellations will come up, but you have to be online checking at the time the cancelled reservation re-enters the system so the more often you check, the better your chances. If you are flexible about the date and time, it will help.

Since you are an odd numbered party, you can also look for a res for 8 since parties of 7 or 8 will most often be seated at an 8 top table. If you find a reservation for 8, as long as at least one person shows up for the reservation you will not be charged for the "missing" person. Be sure to include everyone when you are looking, so checking for 6 won't work because you run the risk of one person not being seated.

Just keep stalking the Cancellation thread for January. It's not impossible. I have been searching for almost 6 months for Ohana party of 6. I got one a few days ago. Our trip is next week. A lot of the good reservations start shaking loose about two weeks before your trip up to the night before you want to go. Good luck!

I see last minute ohana reservations pop up all the time, so that won't be an issue. What will be is the size of your party. You may want to look to book a party of 3 or 4 separately and see if that could work out. If not there are tons of other good options out there that won't be nearly as difficult to find
