What are my chances ? Wait list

I will be in Florida the week of March 4 and wanted to stay in a 2 bedrrom at the Boardwalk. For one night only on Monday ,March 4. I called today and got put on a wait list. What are my chances? Has anyone ever got so luck in a short period of time like this.
