What are my chances on getting VB first week in May at 7 months?

Thinking of doing VB the first weekend in May for 3 nights. What do you think my chances will be on getting an oceanview room (studio)at 7 months? Also, what will the weather be like then? This will be our first time at VB. It will be just DH and myself - no kids. Thanks for any advise !!!!

An ocean view room and a studio are two different things even if they cost the same amount of points. If you want ocean view, definitely get the ocean view inn room. It will be in the inn, and facing either the ocean directly or off to the side. It will have the kitchenette that a studio has and will have 2 Q beds in most cases. (There are exceptions...some have a King bed, but I've never been in one.)

A studio will be in one of the side buildings. It will have the kitchenette, a Q bed and a sofa bed. It will have any sort of view possible, maybe ocean, parking lot, garden, or perhaps so much vegetation around that the vegetation is what you see!

Oh, regarding your question. I think at 7 months for a weekend, you'll get in. Maybe you'll have to waitlist, but if you call right at 7 months you should be OK!

For this past May I booked 1 OVIR at 6 1/2 months out and then a second one at 3 weeks out! At first when I called about the second room only the weekend was available and I also needed Thursday. I had debated just sharing a room that night but then decided to book on cash. However when I called to do that one was available on points so I snatched it up.
