what are my chances for a studio for jan 10-12 (sat/mon)?

You can call in a couple of hours and find out for sure, but I'd say slim to none. When you call, ask for ANY size unit that is available first and see what they come up with.

I was unable to get 1 BR at any resort for the 11th several weeks ago so it may be tough but there may be some cancellations for that date today being so close to 31 days out. I have a waitlist for a 1 BR at OKW for the 12-16 with no luck so far. Will be calling in another half hour to adjust the reservation I do have so will also check on getting the 1 BR for 12-15. We curently have a 1BR at SSR which is my second choice anyway. Good luck - we will probably be on hold at the same time.

Crowds won't be so bad, but you may not find any availability. Lots of runners like the studios for a few nights to participate in the marathon. What did MS say?

We've been waitlisted for a studio anywhere other than SSR (have a ressie at SSR booked) for Jan 11-18 for a few months now with no luck. I've called several times to see if there are openings for the 13-18th for a split stay but no luck there either, just a couple scattered nights here and there. But we will keep checking also...good luck to both of us!

Try the rental board, someone might be willing to trade points for an existing reservation - if your points have more life in them (because of use year), they might be able to rent your points for more money and everyone would be happy.
