I filled up again yesterday at $4,49 a gallon and was again pleasantly surprised at the low total
I know that it hurts but the US is still far cheaper than most of the rest of the world, and seeing a total that low is still a nice surprise to me....
I'm really looking forward to the next several weeks of driving around Germany at $11 a gallon equivalent
Last I looked, it was $4.75 here in central CA. I have company car, with free gasoline (which is becoming a much bigger perk than it used to be) so it might have gone up since the last time I looked when passing a station.
At the station I usually go to it was $4.15 earlier this weekend. I've seen some places here in Portland near $4.30. I've heard there are places in the metro area that's even higher.
And I hope it goes up more. We need to promote other energy ideas. An economy based on the burning of fossil fuels can not survive. Let's all bike to work.
Im in New England where gas prices are amongst the highest in the nation - I just bought my husband I - Adult Tricycles - Yes - Adult Tricycles so we can get around locally without having to fire up the car. Yes - I know they look goofy - but I had to have the giant basket - I cant wait until they are ready to Pick up.
I work on the border of MA/RI so I just filled up in MA today and it was $4.03 a gallon. As I drove back into RI it was $4.11 and while vacationing in Maine last week we were paying $4.09.
I know people who live in CT and they wait to they come to RI or MA to fill up. I can't believe RI actually has lower taxes on gas than CT. I though we were that taxation state.
