What are AP and CHT Rates?

I keep seeing all these excited posts about these rates and I have no idea what they are or how you get them. Could someone fill me in? thanks

AP stands for Annual Pass and CHT is the current code for the general public to use for a discount at WDW resorts. Hope this helps!!
