What apps are a must for the droid?

FYI, I got the "second" 2.2 Froyo update for the Droid, which now allows you to download the Flash app. So I've got Flash now, but I can't think of anything I could access with the phone that required it to know if it works...

I think HULU runs on flash. I could be wrong though.

hulu does run on flash, but Froyo has the newest flash.

New Froyo feature I discovered today as well - not sure if it was with the FRG22 ("second") update or the first - but I can now voice dial via bluetooth...now I couldn't understand what the heck it was saying, but it did in fact make the call I wanted it to...

I've got it and it seems to work well...of course it depends on predictions and user input like most.

I just got an update this morning, and they've already expanded it.

Un addition to the wait times they are now including park hours, what looks like a park crowd prediction (red, yellow green), and parade/event schedules for 10 days. Under the attraction wait times, they now have ride descriptions and tips, including height requirements.

DH & I just got Samsung Fascinates this week (BOGO) and have been searching for Disney related apps. We already have the Touring Plans app - it is really good. Cant wait to use it in the parks in November.

I know that there is an official Disney app but I think its 9.99 for 6 months....has anyone tried this app ? Is it worth the cost ??

The official app still hasn't been ported to work on any of the "smartphone" varieties.

It would have the most accurate times available as it comes directly from the park computers, along with FP status, etc. - but ONLY if you are in the park you are looking at. Otherwise the info is pretty vague.

The undercover tourist app is "disney world lines"
There is also a pretty cool overview of Disney magic running on am Android device on you tube. I believe it was posted by mousedroppings.
I hope that is released to the public before or 2011 trip.

The Android version of Disney Magic was being tested for use within the parks using specially adapted phones to be used as an appliance-type device you could get at the parks. There was no telling if the app would be made available to Android phones in general (may depend how flexible they made the interface and what the deal with Verizon limits them to), but it does mean there is hope.

Here is the link for the "lite" version of the Undercover Tourist app. Near the bottom of the page, it states to go the market and search "Disney," then look for the app with the frog. In the market, it's called Walt Disney World Wait Times Lite by Phunware, Inc.

The Touring Plans app is called "Lines." I will be trying both of them on our next trip. You can get instructions for this on the touringplans.com website, or go to the market and search for the Disney Lines app. This one is Disney World Lines by touringplans.com. If you are a subscriber on the webpage, I believe this app is still included as a membership benefit.
