What and where is your favorite snack?

Easily it's the strawberry crepe in France in EPCOT. I love chocolate in general, and that crepe is good, but the strawberry crepe is always on my radar when I enter World Showcase.

Lets see, I have a bunch
MK-cream cheese filled pretzels, tropical fruit smoothies, dole whips
Epcot-chocolate crepes, kaki goris, peach oolong tea
AK-Mickey premiums(well at any park)
DHS-Chocolate PB Cupcake

German Chocolate Cake in a Cookie ???? Where do I sign up?!! I have to try on Mother's Day 2010 !:yay:

I dream in Dole Whip ALLLLLL year long until the magical day I'm back in the Magic Kingdom standing on line at Aloha Isle waiting PATIENTLY for my next taste of heaven :littleangel:

(Also, never pass thru Mexico without getting a refreshing frozen Margarita!)

But alas nothing, NOTHING beats the tasty treasure that is Dole Whip. pirate:

I'm looking forward to trying it, but I'm concerned that Dole Whip was the most often "overrated" snack item mentioned in this thread:

I am torn between two favorite snack foods, I just cannot choose between them. They both are healthy for you, and keep you feeling satisfied for a long time. This is great news for people on diets or just looking to maintain their weight. Snacking does not have to mean grabbing the first candy bar or piece of cake you see in the kitchen.

My first favorite snack is Sun Chips.

I have two varieties that I love. I love the regular kind, and also the cheddar cheese kind. This snack is proof that healthy food does not need to be tasteless and boring.

Sun chips have less saturated far than potato chips, less sodium, and no trans fat at all. All in all, it is a great choice for a snack. One serving is only about 140 calories. These chips have two grams of fiber in each serving, which is also great for keeping you feeling full longer.

Whole-grain snacks like this keep your energy levels high, and they also keep your blood sugar levels steadier than regular carbohydrates.

My second favorite food is almonds. Not roasted or salted; just regular almonds.

There are lots of organic companies that make plain almonds now, since they are being toted as a great nutritious snack. And, that it is. Almonds are very high in polyunsaturated and monounsaturated fats, and they have no trans fat as well.

They are a great source of protein, which is great for having strong muscles. Almonds also help you feel satisfied longer. They are also great for getting rid of belly fat for this reason, and your concentration is always sharper if you eat protein.

You could eat these snacks at work or at home. They are easily portable. Sun chips now come in the 100-calorie boxes, and almonds could just go wrapped in foil or plastic wrap.

When eating snack foods like these, you are less likely to pick at unhealthy foods in between meals. Comfort food could mean healthy, and you feel even more comforted when you know you are adding healthy food to your body. With all that is going on in the world now, every one of us deserves so good comfort snacking.

These are also great for when you are watching television. They say that television viewing leads to weight gain because of more snacking, but who does not snack in front of the computer, while watching a good movie, or even while talking on the telephone? See, there are lots of instances when we feel like a snack. Now, you could eat these snacks without feeling guilty.

Also, exercise is just more fun after you know you ate healthy. These will definitely be the tools you need to maintain your weight, or to lose those extra pounds.

What a great motto to live by and maintain a healthy life! Go You! At home I am like this too....but Sunchips are still really processed and not truly a health food. I make all our crackers and breads homemade to prevent HFCS and other artifical ingrediants. Fresh fruits and nuts all the way for me and no processed foods in our house plus four 1.5 hr workouts a week for me and the hubby.

BUT on vacation at Disney I DO NOT diet! We work hard to be healthy and like to treat ourselves to the "other side" sometimes. We look forward to the dining plan and our snacks! I eat whatever I want(which is usually not all of everything I order) and never gain a pound because we make sure to walk walk walk which is very easy to do at Disney.

With that said I am so looking forward to a cookie ice cream sandwich from Main St bakery (1st time this trip), and a Grand Manier Slush from France, oh and sweet almond pretzels and school bread from Norway.

I also love the Jalapeno Cheese Stuffed Pretzel. I found this by accident on our last trip in the Africa section of Animal Kingdom. I was trying to get a regular pretzel for my son, but the kiosk was out. They only had the Jalapeno Cheese ones. Since I had waited a while in line I went ahead and got it. I tasted it before giving it to my son to make sure it wasn't too spicy for him. It was so good that I got back in the long line to get one for everybody in our party. We had eaten a late breakfast at Tusker House and had a dinner reservation at Yak and Yeti. The pretzels were so big and filling that they ended up being our lunch. I will definitely be seeking out this kiosk again on our next visit.

My entire family loves Dole Whip Floats and looks forward to them every trip. It's really just a matter of taste, if you like pineapple then maybe you'll like them, or maybe not. Can't tell until you try. :) Everybody raves about the school bread at Norway and I thought it was gross and tasted weird. Like I said, a matter of personal taste.

I think the OP was asking about favorite snacks AT WDW, not at home. :)

Thank you all for these great snack ideas. I can't wait to try some of these. :woohoo:: Anyone alse have a favorite?:

Mickey Premium Bars :mickeybar and Popcorn popcorn:: from anywhere in the World!!

At the Magic Kingdom I love love love the ice cream cookie sandwiches at the Main Street Bakery (they are huge and I'm ashamed to admit I've eat a whole one on more than one occasion ;)). The sundaes from the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor are amazing as well!

In Epcot you can't go wrong with anything from Boulangerie Patisserie, but my favorite snack there is the Napoleon. Also the chips from Yorkshire County Fish Shop. They are deep fried potatoes of love!

My favorites are the Dole Whip and the French pasteries, especially the LEMON TART (I'd kill for one right now!), the Ham & Cheese croissant, and the Pithiviers (sp?).

Wow! Great thread. Some of the same snacks keep showing up. Can you elaborate, describe them too?
Kaki Goris?
School Bread?
Rice Cream?
Dole Whip (is it ice cream or a drink?)

Kaki Gori is shave ice cart outside the pavillion to the left (as you face Japan). I prefer the Rainbow. :)

School bread is a delightful yeast doughnut filled with custard, the top dipped in a confectioner's glaze, and further dipped into coconut (half toasted, half not these days, it seems). It is heavenly.

Rice cream is in Norway too. I'm not fond of it, but that's a texture thing.

Dole Whips are both. The dole whip is at Aloha Isle in Frontierland. There are orange, vanilla, and pineapple flavors of soft serve. You may also get a float with pineapple juice. Personally, I prefer the vanilla soft serve with pineapple juice, as the pineapple flavors together just don't jive for me. They also have pineapple spears which are ripe and delicious.

But then again, I happen to love all kinds of food (as you can probably tell)!

Rice Cream is rice pudding... only lighter and not overly sweet. You can get it with strawberry topping or without.

Dole whip is pineapple ice cream.... dole whip float is pineapple ice cream (I believe you can also get it swirled with vanilla) with pineapple juice over it... heavenly!!!!

Oreo cookie ice cream sandwich from any of the ice cream carts around the world!

We also enjoy the egg rolls at China.
