What and when is your next vacation

Disney in June. After that, the tentative plan is Portland, OR, in the fall. I have decided, going forward, we will do 1 central Florida vacation and 1 new place each year. Keeps all of us in the family happy.

Portland/Cannon Beach is my next item on my bucket list...so that is what is in focus.

Amsterdam, Italy, Oktoberfest, Prague, and Berlin. 5-6 weeks in the fall. So excited!

Sounds heavenly! Amsterdam, Oktoberfest, and Berlin are the big international ones on my bucket list - along with Oslo and Iceland.

I think you need to re-schedule slightly. We land in L.A. on April 4 and will head straight to San Francisco for 2 days then down the PCH to Monterey for a night, San Diego for 2 nights and then back to L.A. for two nights at Hermosa Beach. Meet us in Monterey and you can hang with me while DH plays Pebble Beach! (Yes, I'm every bit as much fun as you've always imagined!!)

Whew - just thinking about all those miles in the car makes me tired! We LOVE Monterey and San Diego - hope you do, too.

We are going on a cruise to Alaska in May. I also booked a Christmas Market river cruise along the Danube River for December 2019--long ways away, but I've never been to Europe and it looks awesome so I'm already excited about it. We'll add a few days on each end (Budapest and either Prague or Munich).

Oh, a Christmas Market cruise! Also high on my list! How cool!

I have a son who goes to college down by the ocean now, so that is my new vacation spot. Next year I will also have one in college in the mountains! PERFECT! We can go back and forth.....

My older son has his heart, currently, set on Flagler in St. Augustine and I am doing NOTHING to discourage it! A reason to travel there a few times a year? SCORE!

In May DW and I are going to London to celebrate our 30th anniversary. Our actual anniversary is in August but we got a good deal on air so we're going early. Very excited--the more we learn about London the more we see that we want to do.

We leave July 7 for 2 weeks at Hilton Head. I can't wait.

Paris or Scotland in August; several small trips before then - a couple of weekends in Chicago and Atlanta. September is Disney with my beau's small children (that's going to be new for me). Probably destin and gatlinburg thrown in.

I have no idea. We've been throwing a few ideas around for the summer, but can't all agree on where to go.

We're going to WDW to see DD in May, Hilton Head in Sept for a long weekend, and Hawaii for 2 week in Oct. There might be something else since I have vacation time to be used.

We're going to San Francisco next Friday for a long weekend. It's only an hour away, but we're getting a hotel for 2 nights, so that counts as a vacation, right?

Camping at Bass Lake over 4th of July.

Surprise Vegas weekend for DH's birthday in Oct. I'm in the process of planning it and he has no idea. It's so hard to keep it a secret!

Annual Disneyland trip the week before Christmas.

Universal Orlando for 4 days, Sea World and then Freeport, Bahamas for 4 days. Our kids graduation trip, DD from college who wanted Universal (BIG Harry Potter fan) and DS from HS who wanted the Bahamas (along with his Dad). I am giving up DW for them since it is their graduation! This will be in June, the day after DS graduation!!

Late April - Early May (18 days): Paris to Luxembourg City to Brussels and Bruges in Belgium and ending in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Less than a month away!

21 days in England and France this summer (although really only 20 days, since we fly out the morning of the last day). Six days exploring the Cotswolds, nine days in London, and six days in Paris.

Totally, OT, but something I've always wondered & this seems like as good of time as any to ask.... What is it about Flagler College that makes kids want to come from all over the country to go to school there? It's definitely a beautiful campus in a fun destination. We love visiting St. Augustine, but I'm sure there has to be more to it than the architecture & location. I've seen people say their kids are coming from as far away as the west coast to go to school there, which makes me curious what the attraction is. Just curious or nosy, whichever you prefer.

Totally, OT, but something I've always wondered & this seems like as good of time as any to ask.... What is it about Flagler College than makes kids want to come from all over the country to go to school there? It's definitely a beautiful campus in a fun destination. Ha! Good question – it IS a beautiful campus, in an awesome locale. However, for my son, he wants to go into Hospitality and Tourism Management (he wants to manage a hotel in a high-tourist area). For some reason, this is the school he is (currently) drawn to. He thinks that the opportunities would be high in a location such as that, since they have so many tourists. I think his eventual hope is to run a Disney hotel, or something on that scale. J

FWIW - I went to college in a tiny river town in MN. There were people from EVERYWHERE - domestic and international. I could not believe that people from beautiful, warm, ocean-hugging San Diego would choose tiny little Winona, MN to study. Something must have pulled them there.. so weird, though, to think of what makes people choose what they do!!
