What an adorable Christmas card...but..

I don't have a CLUE who it's from!!

Worse yet, it's one of those really pretty cards where you insert a child's photo and there's this absolutely adorable little girl - must be around 4 years old - smiling back at me and I haven't got the vaguest idea who she is!

The card is signed with a last name only - "The XXX Family" - yet it was addressed to me specifically (full name) - as well as my DD's family.. I don't recognize the last name that was signed on the card, don't recognize the handwriting, and don't recognize the return address..

Has this ever happened to you?

It wasn't a Christmas card, but a sympathy card when my mom passed away. None of us knew the people who signed the card, but luckily they put their return address so we could send them a thank you.

This happened to us once...it turns out it was a family that had a daughter in my son's grade. It was a beautiful picture of her and her siblings. My son was very young and didn't know all the kids in the grade. It was signed the xxx Family, however the girls last name was different so we didn't recognize it! The next year we finally figured out who the card came from!

Ah ha! It's my older brothers DD and her 4yr. old DD.. The last time I saw them was at my DH's Memorial Service and it seems that since that time she has remarried and moved..

So nice of her to track me down and send such a beautiful card.. Her DD is positively ADORABLE!!!

We got some christmas cards today from friends who got our address from another friend. However, they didn't put THEIR address on the card-and now they'll think we're rude because we didn't send them one.
