Ok, after advice of some very nice people here on the board I looked at Embassy Suites and found this place for $95.20 a night for our last 3 nights while we visit SW. Am I missing something about this place? It looks very nice and with the managers reception and made to order breakfast everyday, this place is a bargain for 4 peopel. Or is it?
What are the cons to this place? I think I know the pros?

Any alternate suggestions in the same ballpark range?

Thanks, YO

We stayed there a few years back. It's clean and comfy, and has a nice indoor pool area. It's not luxurious, but we found it nicer than the Hilton just around the corner. If you are stopping on the way to WDW, it's a great place to stop. If you are planning on staying there while you visit the parks, it's not a good idea--it's a good hour from WDW due to traffic during rush hours--at least half an hour just to get on property during non-rush.

How far away is it from SW? That is where we will be going for a couple days while staying there.

Thanks, YO

a long way.

on I4 you are on exit 92 with this embassy - seaworld is on exit 71 - you are traveling on one of the worst congested interstates around.

so I would say at least an hour maybe more?

can you afford the one on International Drive?

or the one at Lake buena vista?

It's on the other side of the City of Orlando--a good poke. Not worth the congestion and accident prone Interstate to save a few dollars.

Stayed there, good deal.

They wanted to charge 10 bucks for Internet though, which should be free if you can get it at a Red Roof free, should be able to get it free from Embassy.

Cheap movie next to hotel for only a dollar or so also was a surprise. Real theatre with kind of new movies running. Drive is not that bad to Universal, depends on traffic like anything else.

keithshoe, Is SW before or after US?

spiceycat, thanks for the exit info, if the exits are set at 1 mile markers then that would be 21 miles, that is a poke.

I have to drive I-25 here in Denver so I know about nasty interstates.

Thanks, YO

Sw is much further.

about 4 exits more (but this is the busiest) where the bee line expressway intercess with I4.
