I am totally stumped. She already has a phone - tv - dvd - vcr in her room.... family will probably get her gift certificates to the mall. I was going to get her a cell phone but she use have mine any time (I work from home) so why have another bill to pay.The only think I have come up with so far is a "name bracelet" - I was thinking of a sterling silver bracelet with her name in script. Any other ideas??
BTW - her birthday is June 6.

A car? :D

Would she like to go to a spa or something, manicure, you could get a gift certificate for that.

Good one about the car - haha. Actually driver training conflicted with her spring sport (volleyball) so I am waiting to see if she can take it in the summer or will have to wait till fall.
She does like to have her nails done- that may be a good idea.

Thanks!

For my sister's 16th birthday, we came up with the idea to throw her a surprise dinner party. She got all dressed up, thinking we were going out to dinner, and when she came downstairs, her friends were in the backyard, having "mocktails."

She was gone most of the day, so she didn't know what Mom and I cooked. Mom was famous for cooking meals in advance, so the aroma of food didn't tip her off when she got home. After hors deuvres, we brought the kids inside and served them in the dining room, on Mom's good china. We each had our jobs to do, as waitresses and waiters and made the kids feel like they were in a fancy restaurant.

She still talks about that party. It was different from anything that anyone had done before.

If you think that your DD would like something like that, and if you are a cook, you can do that and then get her a gift certificate for a spa treatment. She'll feel all grown up.

We got DD a birthstone ring for her 16th.
But I'm now partial to the Italian charm bracelet (but that's me, my DD doesn't want one).

LOL..........a side note........my DD is turning 21 next moth  and I had planned to get her diamond earrings.....but she doesn't want them!! She wants a............telescope!! :teeth:

Thinking of Disney related...what about one of those Disney-O-Grams. I always wanted to send one to somebody and they are really cute.

What about stationary, perfume, a magazine subscription (these are all tinier gifts).

I really like the idea about the fancy dinner party. That would be great!

This might be a stretch...but..... how about sending me to WDW in her honor?

Linda r - she already has one of those (a 16 yr old boy) - haha - and jamsmom - I'll get back to you on that trip!!
