I have to agree about the book. And yes, it lists campgrounds and hotels too. We drive to Florida each summer from Oklahoma, towing our travel trailer with two young sons. The book has been a life saver. We always stop at a rest stop for lunch in the trailer, and we use it to scout out convenient places to stop. It also lists useful info like where there are Wal Marts and restaurants. Definitely a wise investment!!

Since I'm the OP, I want to thank everybody for the ideas. We already have the book....Definitely worth the small investment. For another tip, I found a camping website called www.roadcamping.com. It lets you find campgrounds by state, what highway you might be traveling on, and other ways to easily find places to stay...

I've got some beer stashed already, and will probably be getting some more of one of my favorites - New Belgium's Fat Tire. A friend who's heading to Chicago is picking some up for me.....

Less than 4 weeks now....
