Okay, I joined WW 12 weeks ago. Went really well. I lost 10 lbs my first 5 weeks :cool1: .Then...nothing. I have been faithfully following the plan. But it seems like when my allowance dropped from 26pts to 24pts a day I stopped losing. I did not lose 1 oz. the last seven weeks! :confused3 I didn't gain either, but you would think I would have lost something! I know I really need to get into a regular exercise routine. We typically walk or ride bikes 1-2 times a week. I have a very active job and two kids under 5. I still have 27 lbs to lose and feel like I will never get there! I was feeling really good about myself, now I feel like such a loser(and not the good kind)!

Is your food intake as clean as it should be? (whole foods, no junk)
Are you varying your points? (go high/above some days, go low/below other days?)

These can make a difference.

Maybe you are building muscle. Are you using a tape measure? Are clothes fitting looser? Sometimes you can drop sizes, but not drop a lot of weight when you build muscle.

Maybe you need to make some changes in your diet as well and not just eat what you want as long as it is within your point range. You might also want to add more water to your diet.

Just some options to try. It happens to everyone. ::MickeyMo ::MickeyMo

Exercise will really speed up the metabolism and weight loss. Try a 30 minute walk everyday if it is possible.
How active is the job?
Good luck!

Are you varying your foods? Are you eating processed foods with a lot of salt?

I don't vary my points much at all. I am usually right at 24 maybe a few under. I am an xray tech/mammographer so I am on my feet 8 hrs a day, maybe down 15 min for lunch. I don't eat alot of junk, I limit myself to one meal out a week. I can't stand salty food, so no to that one. Yes, my clothes are fitting more loose even though I am not losing. I didn't take measurements in the beginning, but it has just been in the last two weeks that I have been getting the "Are you losing weight?" comments. I just thought it took people that long to catch on. I do need to do something on a daily basis for routine exercise. I need to get motivated and get my but in gear.
My husband and I are going on a cruise in Sept. Funny thing though. That is not what motivates me. My best friend and I are going to WDW for a first ever Mom's only trip. She has lost 90lbs over the last two yrs. I refuse to walk around WDW beside her at the size I am now!!!!

Keep on keeping on...........WW does work wonders!! You are going to lose more weight the first couple of weeks than you will other weeks due to water loss.

WATER.........WATER.........WATER!!! Drink up my dear! I also have found that if I don't *use up* my points allowance ~ I don't lose weight. Excercise makes a big difference too......even just a nice brisk walk!

I know you can do it!! You will continue to get those AWESOME compliments! And you will be PROUDLY walking beside your friend at WDW ~ both of you celebrating your *weight loss job well done*!!

Keep up the good work!!!

I think you should. Some days you will be more active than others...why stay at 24 pts. every day? 24 should be your base but there are days you will be hungrier. There are other days when maybe you want to stay below 24. This will keep your metabolism active.

I agree with everything everyone else has suggested. I've been doing WW for just over 10 months and have lost almost 60 pounds. I vary my points every day, I don't use my activity points and hardly use my 35 weekly points. You just have to keep your body guessing.

Water water water water!!! I think THAT has been the key for me. I drink no less than 96 ounces of water each day. Try and get some kind of activity in if you can, workout tapes at home, walk with the kids, anything you can. And if you haven't done it yet, measure yourself. You'll be amazed that you might not be losing those pounds, but the inches are still coming off. I haven't lost much "weight" the past couple of weeks, but according to my measurements, I've lost 4 inches, which I'm happy about.

Hang in there and things will start to improve

Good Luck

AH!!!! the "P" word............
plateau............( not sure if I spelled that right) we ALL get there at least I think all of us do..... I know I have been on that plateau many times, it is very frustrating! There are many posted about this and although, I cant remember, there are very logically reasons for this. You should use this sites "search" feature to look up Plateau ( only in the titles ) and I am sure youll find very helpful information. I know casue I have posted many times about this. What I remember about this is all the advice I was given was
switch it up!!!!!!!!!!!

do something different! exercise wise. your body may getting too used to whatever it is your doing. I know at least in the LC lifestyle I was told to go back to induction in order to jumpstart my body again. however, I know you really cant do that in WW............ but definitely do something different in your exercising routine.

good luck and keep us posted.

It is so good to know that I have support out there! :Pinkbounc Support from total strangers means more to me than from people I know. Because I know it is genuine. Since my original post (4 days ago) I have dropped 2lbs! I increased my water and ate a few more fiber full snacks than I had been. Before it was fruit for snacks but I switched to Koshi honey oat cereal. It has 9g of fiber! I feel really motivated again. I am thinking about joing an all women's fitness center that just opened this week a half mile from work. Everything is working out! Praise the Lord! He is my number one supporter! :flower:

MAGICX2 - congrats on the weight loss :cheer2: :cheer2:

Keep up the good work. Happy 4th
