what am I doing wrong--trying to log into my new DVC account

I just signed up for DVC and when we got home I signed up for our account--got the one time use activation code

and set up a pass word --I thought I was set to go--was able to log in once and everything went fine

but now I go to sign in and I put in the email address and the password so now I get taken to a page

that wants to me activate your member account

the club ID and a password is already filled in so when I go to next I get a message that says

please check your club ID and activation code--what in the world are they talking about

the club ID number is right--the activation code is a one time code so you can set your password which I already did

please help--were getting close to our 11 month ressie time for the first time and I dont want to lose out

I tried calling but theres a 30 minute wait !!!

The system can be a little temperamental sometimes. A couple things...are yu sure you put in the right email address? I have put the wrong one in accidentally on other sites and didn't realize it right away. You should have received an email welcoming you to the site. And I would try it again a couple of times. Then if no luck, you should call and listen to the list for the number for techie problems. There may be a wait but you need to get a tech support person on the line since that is probably the only way to fix it.
 
Welcome to the world of DVC. All you can doe is call MS for help, selecting online help. In addition all of your passwords should match across all Disney companies, MDE, DVC, ESPN, ABC, etc.

Call member services. I had this error and ignored it for a few weeks. Then I had some Disney Movie Rewards Tickets to claim and that site wouldn't log me in either. I gave them a call and for some reason an account I had many moons ago (for Toontown, anyone remember that? lol) had somehow been deemed my default account. He remedied it quickly online and we both had a laugh that an acct from 2007 had suddenly over taken all my Disney accounts. Who knows WHY that would happen but it seemed to see the problem and fix it super quickly.
