We want to go to Disney for three nights before a cruise in July. We'd stay at Disney potentially July 7 - July 10. There are six of us going, so we're thinking two rooms at one of the values.

I go online and put in for two adults and one child (figuring I'll just double to allow for the second room), and I'm seeing a price of $165/night for All Stars. That price doesn't include tax. So I add 20% (estimating), and now it's up to $195/night. What kind of "value" is that?

What ever happened to values being less than (or at least around) $100/night? Is it because it's the July 4th week?

Any suggestions? I'm also debating renting DVC points. If I can get a good price/point, that might be better (if it's a GREAT price/point, it could even be cheaper).

you are going at a peak time during the summer, with the discount coming later on, it will knock it down some.
