one of the reasons i never liked wdw magic forums is because of the constant overly negative attitudes even for the smallest items. i can deal with a few napkin threads on here but recently it seems like some of their members have migrated over here. you don't have to be 100% in favor of everything disney does but the constant bashing of every small detail has me visiting here less and less. now i almost exclusively visit easywdw, the main wdwnt and wdwmagic page where its more news focused and less/no visitor comments.

It comes down to the old adage of "Dog bites man - not news. Man bites dog - news".

FP+ and MB has riled up a certain percentage of posters on the boards, many of whom have legitimate concerns and complaints. Those threads seem to be at the top of the board, as the debate over the merits (or lack thereof) is top of mind for people right now, and the back and forth goes on for pages and pages.

There are a number of posts from people who actually had positive experiences, but they don't garner the heated debate that other posts do, so they tend to disappear fairly quickly. I posted a few days ago about how MB's and FP+ actually worked really well for my family on our recent trip, and the thread disappeared fairly quickly, which was too bad, as there seem to be a lot of newbies to the board who appear to be getting stressed out because threads highlighting issues with MB/FP+ are front and center these days.

At the end of the day, we all have the choice to read or not read certain threads, and to avoid negativity if we so choose.

I don't intend to be snarky or mean but ... seriously? You have been here since 2005 and you don't recall snarky and mean people until now? The Debate Board was dismantled before your time, but political talk was allowed until 2009 (?) and some threads were a wild ride of insults and attacks. Since then it has not been all Unicorns pooping glitter and rainbows either.

You are certainly entitled to your feelings, but the other posters are NOT responsible for the way you feel. Only you can let what they say bug you. Maybe it's because I cut my teeth on rec.arts.disney.parks that the moderated meanies and negative nellies on the DIS seem more like wanna-be middle school bullies than genuinely nasty people. If you don't want to read anything negative about read FP+, don't open up long FP+ threads because they have certainly degenerated into a FP+ fight. If someone gets on your nerves, put them on your ignore list so you don't see their posts. Or ... better yet ... imagine them sitting at their desk in granny panties or not-so-tighty whiteys ... and laugh.

Even though many, like me, do not like the new FP+ system, many do and would be happy to help you. I think if you ask a specific question about the new system, you will get some great answers and advice.
