What album are you working on?

Hey everyone~

Share- what album are you currently working on? Are you enjoying it? I am working on two- my family album, which is up to date (I do an album per year, although the last two years I have had to split it into two volumes) and my Mom's heirloom album. I started with her grandparents, born around the turn of the century, and am up to Mom's 2nd birthday which was 1949. I will end the album with her parent's photos shortly before they died...it won't include my childhood, my parent's marriage, etc...more just her family. It's really interesting and I feel I am getting to know my mother better by studying all of these photographs. And I feel proud of my family- I have always felt closer to my father's side of the family, but my mother's side was really neat. My grandfather fought in WW2 both in Europe and the Pacific (this wasn't too common), he then went to UC Berkeley and Stanford for his BS and was 1 class short for his MS at Stanford. He was an engineer at Nasa in the 50's & 60's. My grandmother was a teacher and a social worker. And their parents were all (except for my one great-grandma) native Californians! That's pretty rare!

Well first I am in the process of getting ready for a weekend crop so I am putting together my power layout for a Christmas Disney 2001 trip. I am hoping to complete or get near to completion during this weekend with this album although it is a 25 roll of film trip so we'll see how far I get.

I am continuously working on our family life. Our DD is now 15 and I am up to age 8 close to age 9. Not bad seem to be able to get 2 - 3 years of her life completed in a year's time span. Although I think it will start to move a bit quicker since it seems as she got older there aren't as many pictures.

hmmm... I'm working on kate's album mainly. (I hated the baby album I did when she was little so I took it apart... ) I just did a mini (4x4 or maybe smaller, it was one of those little ones by making memories) for kate's dance teacher. Also have a zillion swaps to finish up. maggie

Family Album: I have completed 1999, 2000, 2001 and am currently in September of 2002.

Disney Vacation Album: Summer of 2001. Tons of pictures, have only completed 30 pages so far. This one will be about 100 pages. (LOL, It is the FIRST vacation we took after I started scrapping!)

Character Encounters: I am doing an ongoing album in alphabetical order of all the characters at Disney. It is in a smaller format(8.5 X 11). I have about 40 pages done!

That's about it for now!

So glad to find out that I am not the only one with multiple albums in the "ongoing" stage.

I am just a few days away from completing our 2002 Disney Trip album. Then I will begin our 2004 Disney trip!! But I compound the problem times two.... I do an album for each child for the trip, so 2002 is two albums and 2004 will be two albums!!!

I am trying to finish the first year/baby album for each child (DD is currently 8 1/2 and DS is 6, so I am WAAAAAy behind). Got about 6 months left of DD and 9 months left for DS!!!!

I have an ongoing gardening album for my Dad that I get a few pages at a time done and give them to him for his birthday and Father's day each year. I have 1978 - 2002 done. I would like to finish 1962-1978, but the pictures are SLIDES and I haven't found an affordable way to get them printed yet. I will probably complete 2002-current for this Father's Day.

I have given myself a goal of being totally up to date by January 2006!! Wish me luck!..........................P

Well-- I have one that is strictly for Disney trips. I am not currently working on it because I have been sidetracked to work on others. In that album I have completed through my Summer 2001 trip to Disneyland. (I have 3 subsequent trips to add to that)

Currently in progress are DD's baby album (way behind on this one--completed pregnancy pictures and the first pictures from her birth. she is currently 9 months old. I need to get in gear!!!)
DD's first trip to Disney album--(should be done after this weekend!! woohoo!)
a Thank You mini album for DD's daycare teacher for when she moves up to the next class in May. (got the cover started, only have 8 inside pages to do and I will keep it simple so it should be done before May!!!)
Grandma mini albums for my MIL and Mom. (they already have the albums in hand, I just periodically send them one or 2 pages with new pictures of DD. they currently have pages through January. I need to send them a First trip to Disney page and a February 2004 page).

I really had hopes on doing a running album to chronicle my weight loss and training to run the Disney Half-Marathon. In that quest I ran in several shorter races and one other 1/2 marathon and saved photos and my race numbers and time printouts. I keep dreaming!! LOL!

Ok, in my scrapping life anyway! my major focus right now is to complete the 2003 DCL album.

DS Boy Scouts (and this HAS to be my next focus after finishing the cruise because he is finishing his last badge for Eagle and this series has to be ready for his court of awards)

I am also beginning to organize DS high school and DD middle school.

I decided not to try and start from birth but rather their most "recent" school level and once that is up to date start backtracking. For example, keeping the above in progress up to date, then DS high school, when that is up to date work on his middle school, then backtracking to elementary and then prior to school.

I am sooo behind, but at least my DS has been born in his album that I am working on - he's nearing two in real life. I am working on his 1st year and then his Disney Album from his first birthday.

I have purchased individual albums for each kid, but haven't done much with them. I am actively working on our family album, and caught up with pictures through Christmas morning 2003. (don't hate me, I've got two rolls of film due back from York any day) When I am caught up, I also work on an album of the 16 mos. I spent in Italy after college. Once it is finished, I plan to work on each kid's album in the same way. I've been posting for awhile, but never here-so I feel like I should introduce myself. I'm Melessa-mom to almost 4 (Natalie-6, Tristan-almost 4, Caroline-2, and #$ due at the end of May) and scrapper since 1998. Right now my Disney pages are part of a family album, but I'm beginning to think they should have their own separate album. The problem is, they are CM pages and wouldn't fit into any of the cute albums I'm sure they sell at DTD. (my last trip was before the scrapbooking store opened there-I can't WAIT to see it in December!)

I have many albums too! I usually just do a layout as I see them or dream them up. I only started scraping 2 years ago when my oldest was 5 years old and my youngest was 1 1/2 years old. So, I have a lot to do. But here are the albums I've started so far:

Family album
Disney 2002 trip
Courtney's school days album

I've decided not to do a separate book for each child except the school days album. I am pretty much just going to scrap chronological in the family album which I am sure will be many volumes. If that makes sense, I figured I have too much to do to do separate albums.

I am pretty much caught up but since we leave for WDW in 2 DAYS I will have that to do when we come back. Plus DS's birthday.

I also have to finsh my borders for the birthday swap before I leave. Yikes!!! I better get off the computer and get to work.

I do a page at a time too I have done a christmas one for all our christmas for each year. Today I am doing a dr Seuss page my dd came home weariing this cute dr seuss hat and said she was the only one that this hat fit on. all of the other childrens heads wre too large . she is just a little peanut. 42" and 42lbs in second grade. she is so little.

I don't know how I missed this thread!

I just finished Christmas 94-03 and some odd holiday photos that I had.

Last night, I finished our wedding album (well before our 8th anniversary in May ). I will be showing it off to family this weekend!

I have one box of photos left to go through - buying our house, various races, HS and college graduations, concerts, etc. My mother has been going through all of our family photos and separating them into piles for all of us, so that will be my life photos! I think she was up to 1981...

Since it is just my DH and I, I don't take too many pictures unless we are at a race, it's Christmas or we are visiting WDW! :

I, too, don't know how I missed this last week ... well, maybe I do ... I was at the two Disney meetings in Philadelphia.

I have an ongoing "cousins" album of my seven first cousins (they are all brothers & sisters). It is already thick & I only have four weddings & & my aunt & uncle's 40th wedding anniversary party done .

I started an album of just one friend's family. I have a title page & two of their children's weddings done. I took it to one of their son's home last weekend along with some sb pens. I knew there would be some relatives at this gathering, & we all had fun journaling all over the pages! the memories were amazing! So now I am trying to get a few more pages done this week in this album as we may see them again this weekend.

2003 books (2 8.5 x 11)
2002 book (8.5x11)
2 bitty books (randoms wishes (all the odds and ends pics that didnt make it into the big book but I didnt want to loose) and Drew's Adventures book (my teddy bears adventures)
Simply Disney black and white book (all photos in b&W and all scrapbooked in black/white and silver)

I'm currently working on my family album. I keep telling myself once I get this done I can start my Disney trips! I only have four trips to scrap.
I also work on DS album...it's up to date. Which is wonderful! So, I just add to it as time goes on.
DD does her own album and her sports album. This is also a great help. I just help when she asks.
