What airline do you prefer to fly?

What, if any, is your experience with Delta?

I've flown on United, Northwest and ATA so far . Next month we're flying Midwest Express for the first time. Never have flown on Delta. I can't say I have a favorite. I'm hoping Midwest Express changes my mind on that though.

Pan Am is our favorite (although limited to east coast routes) then Midwest Express. I used to fly 150,000 miles a year on Northwest and they are better than average.

I'd rather walk than take ATA again.

We don't fly very often.......but I will say we fly the cheapest

Midwest Express, now called simply, Midwest Airlines, 'Best Care in the Air', and they mean it. And Scott, just an fyi, Midwest, like the other carriers, have cut back, so no meals like some you have seen me post in the past, and on the Orlando run, and 4 other destinations, it is 2/3 seating now, not 2/2, but still, LOTS of legroom. Get there early and request exit rows, I always get them.

Southwest non-stop if availible. Used to fly US Air and/or Delta, but no non-stops to Orlando anymore. To fly other places, I try to avoid connections with Southwest due to the cattle call boarding system.

I've flown on:

Air Jamaica
United
Northwest
Spirit
US Air

We've flown Northwest the most. We flew Spirit to Vegas last year and even tho the air fare was very inexpensive.....so were the seats!!!:o

Along the east coast I prefer Southwest if the flight is non-stop. I hate flights with connectors. When you live in a snowy-windy climate it's very easy to miss your connecting flight. Now you spend the day trying to get to your destination, and you can bet your luggage won't arrive with you.

I also prefer Southwest because I can avoid Logan Airport. Greens in R.I. is a much easier airport to get in and out of. When traveling local I don't think there is much difference in the air carriers. My preference is direct-non-stop flights.

It was Delta, but I haven't flown in 9 years! :teeth: Continental was the pitts! Actually, as long as they're a decent airline, I'll go with anyone that has a direct flight! All the stops are so ridiculous. And I'm not a flyer, so I really hate them!

Oh! When we went to Aruba on our honeymoon, we flew on American Airlines. I have to say that was my BEST flight! Are they around any longer...LOL! I have know idea which are and which aren't.

American mostly - it's what my wife's FF miles are with, & we usually fly so rarely we can bank enough to fly 1st class.

We flew AirTrans last summer for my wife's Father's funeral, and although the service was good & the on-time pperformance is vastly improved over the "ValuJet" days, those Boeing 717 aircraft (formerly known as DC-9's) are c-r-a-m-p-e-d!!!!

Does the term "Spam in a Can" mean anything ??

I've flown numerous times to FL on Delta and really like their early AM flight nonstop from Hartford. Their return times have gotten earlier(now late AM), but I haven't flown them for a couple of years. My last 2 flights have been on Southwest-I like the fact they're on-time, but I really don't like the cattle-call for seating. Also, they don't have early AM non-stop flights, but their departure time from MCO is good-around 2:30pm.

The planes are usually the same(737's)so I really don't notice much of a difference once I'm in the air! I think I'm gonna give Delta's Song a try next time-I like the fact I could buy something to eat if I want to!

We like Delta, and just recently had a good experience on Song.

I hve never flown Delta..
I mostly book Northwest, but that's because I like the time they leave Omaha for Orlando 6am.

Jet Blue is by far my favorite! All leather seats, 24 channels of direct TV in each seat, and flight attendents that are friendly. Good prices too!

I've been frequenting the Delta Shuttle recently from Boston to NY (and vice versa). I've had no problems with them.

Sometimes I take the US Airways Shuttle if the price is lower (usually if I wait til the last minute).

It is a mix between fare and schedule for me. I pick the cheapest fare for the schedule I want the most. I have flown Delta a lot lately and have nothing but good things to say about them.

My preferences are Continental, Southwest, and DH also likes American, though I haven't flown them in a LONG time.

None of us have had good experiences with Delta, though.

I always fly USAirways because they have 85% of the flights out of Pittsburgh and I've built up my FF account with them. Airtran now has one non-stop daily to/from Orlando, I would use them if I could not find good flights with USAirways. Their return flight is early - 2:30pm.
