Ok.. we are about to go on a Disney cruise, but I've been so excited planning our one night stay at Disney I want to vacation here next time. What age is the youngest you would recommend for a Disney vacation?

Depends on the child. If the child is easygoing and can sleep anywhere....you could get by with being under 2.

We took our 2 year old last week, and she had a blast. We planned lots of rest times though in the middle of the day.

We started taking our kids when they were 3 or 4. Wanted them to be out of diapers and get around better on there own. That is not in a stroller all the time. They really enjoyed it very much at that age. We are planning on taking my youngest to WDW after she graduates high school this spring. She picked going back to WDW. It depends on the child, only you really know when is right.

Just got back with my two four year old/turned five during our stay. For me this was the perfect age. They were well in control of their bathroom needs, walked without any complaints at all and just overall had the magic. I am glad I decided to go when I did.

I think a lot of it depends on what you want out of the trip. Faster pace, slower pace? See everything, maybe not see everything? Will this be your only trip or will there be others? The list could go on and on. It all really depends on what you are looking for out of the vacation. I've seen many people there with babies. I think as long as you are very aware of any limitations for a particular age and/or individual child, and you go into it without greater expectations than can be met, you can have a good time regardless of age. Don't foget about the $$$ aspect of it. What you expect for the amount of money you pay will also help you decide to go with a very young child or not. All the thinking can make you crazy!!

We took DD#1 on her first trip when she was 4, and it was fantastic. We took DD#2 when she was 2 (and DD#1 was 8), still in diapers, and still requiring a nap. It was a pretty difficult trip, and if I had it to do over, I would have waited until DD#2 was 4. She was 4 on the trip we just did in August, and the difference was amazing. She is tall enough for so many more rides, no diapers, and she doesn't need a nap. On that trip back in 2004, I couldn't wait to come home. Now, I can't wait to go back!

My DW and I have taken our DD twice already and she is just 2. We took her when she was 14 months, and we took her when she was 23 months. Now she is going in December. She will be 2 1/2.

Each and every time we went she loved it.
