We will be going next year. My son will be a teenager. Do teenagers still get autographs?

I love getting autographs, I'm 14 and I still do. There were a LOT of older kids then me in line for autographs.

This was our first time without autographs at age 9. We accomplished so much more since we weren't waiting in lines!

My DD11 is more excited for autographs than my DS7 is.

my ds12 and dd's6 have never gotten them. They'd rather have a picture then carry around the book and pen all day.

I don't think it depends on the age at all!!

My kids were 5 and 7 at the time of our trip and didn't have any interest in it.

I see nothing wrong with teenagers getting autographs. In fact I feel like a kid when I go to WDW

I'd betcha if my DS15 saw Jasmine or some other cutie, he'd for sure go for an autograph!

My 14dd got autographs this past Oct. She enjoyed getting her picture taken and getting an autograph.

I have three children ages DS 5, DD 9, and DD13. The 13 year old is not into it anymore. My other two would not miss it for the world. :earsboy: :earsgirl: :earsgirl:

 Not getting autographs???!!! I'm 38 and I still stand in line for them! Wait...no, I'm just keeping the kids company.

Just thought I would mention this - it makes me smile. On our last trip my daughter was 5 yr old. She finally figured out what an autograph was and that she needed a book and pen. So she had those things and was insistant on getting some signatures. I told her okay (but was dreading it). She then surprised me by asking for random CMs autographs. She got so much free stuff for being so cute! There was an old lady at the BW that almost cried when my DD asked for her autograph. She was so sweet and totally asked any CM or Disney character for their signature. :flower:

I can't stand the thoughts of my kids being too old to not get autographs. Both of my DS's, 7 and 2, loved this more than anything. I thought about how much it adds to the magic and how much it would be lost if they were too old to be interested.

I'm not sure why, but my kids, now 8 & 10, have not been interested in getting character autographs for a few years now. They still want to get pictures taken with certain characters if the line isn't too terribly long. When at Universal last month they were very interested in getting lots and lots of pictures with the characters there, I don't know if it's b/c they had not been there in so long and they go to Disney a couple of times a year.

My son lost interest at about the age of 7 or 8. He also gets embarassed if he gets a hug or anything and he's 12 now.

Incidently, the Universal characters are different. Apparently, they're cool. :(

We just returned from WDW, and DSs ages 8 and 10 didn't want to get autographs. They only wanted one photograph with Chip and Dale. While I was a bit sad that my babies are growing up, we did have time to do many more attractions since we didn't wait in character lines throughout the day as we had in the past.

My DD11 did not really have an interest in the autographs except for her favorite character. My DD9 loved every minute of it still. I really think it all depends on the kid and their love or interest of the characters. No matter what, I say go for however they feel. It is the magic that grabs them and they are only little once. I would never force either kid but let them do what makes the magic for them. Have a wonderful trip.

I have a 6, 4 and 2 year old (who keeps up well with his older bros), and while I have never been to Disney I am hoping they are not to into the autograph thing, I keep thinking of all of the time we will be in lines and not on rides etc...

I am so willing to admit I must be missing something, and that I will probably be spending 7 days in lines to get autographs.

I am armed with cute books for each and tons of space on my camera...and killer outfits to dress them in. Just not to into them wanting to stand in lines for autopgraphs.
